The camo looks outstanding. {bravo}} -- Al

:salute:: First legion just keeps on rolling. I agree, detail looks great on the SS figs. Can't wait to learn more about the 222's and the variants that were mentioned in the newsletter.

Just saw these in the newsletter and they have the best figures done by FL up to now. WOW!{bravo}}

The mounted Crusaders look amazing. I do not think I can hold off any longer on these.

I'm totally stunned that a company that mass produces figures could paint camo anywhere near this quality {eek3} . I have been waiting to see what First Legion could do with the complex patterns of the Waffen SS for a long time and from what I can see in the two pictures so far they knocked em out of the park . Looks to be three patterns on display Plane Tree , Oak Leaf and and M-44 or 44 Dot Pattern as it is sometimes called . One of the most impressive things for me is that First Legion seem to have been able to reproduced the look of the different materials used to make the Camo Items that is HBT and Cotton . Just an Incredible job , these paint jobs could rival some figures I have seen entered in competitions over the years . IMO these are the Best looking Waffen SS figures I have ever seen offered for sale by a mass produced factory figure company . Hats off :salute:: to the First Legion team on a wonderful job {bravo}} I can see these being very popular indeed ..........Regards Gebhard

I agree with you. Not only have they managed to capture recognizable patterns, they have nailed the colors and faded the whole thing to give it authentic worn look. Quite an achievement!

I'm looking forward to getting these into my hands.

Although this line is priced out of my budget, I may have to "bite the bullet" and get these figures. Hands down, the best rendition of the German camouflage I've seen.

I watched the photos...But personally I prefer KC waffen ss, they are the best releases to me in ss camouflage: the movements so natural, camouflage perfect in colours and pattern, many details and expression of faces also great, interesting poses....In my opinion First legion is great in other ranges than WW2: samurai, renaissance, crusades, napoleonics....

I think this will be down to an individual collectors taste. I have looked at them a good few times now and, apart from the officers face being strange (my personal taste) there is nothing else wrong with these figures. I have a great interest in the waffen SS from personel to uniforms and weapons and these are really very good.

To each is own POPPO TARTS !! :p, and the camo compared to FL their is none First Legion Nailed It
and I MEAN HOME RUN!!!!!! :wink2:

They seem fine to me but the poses seem a little stiff. Civil War is still the best IMHO :smile2:

Hi Brad ,
I will wait till the full release is out before commenting on the poses as FL seem to always have a bigger picture in mind when creating figures . But so far i really like the prone figure not sure if he is hitting the dirt or getting up , I guess that will be up to the collector to choose really a cool pose IMO of course . Regards Gebhard

Gebs,

If I collected this range, it probably wouldn't stop me from buying them but I don't generally buy German stuff anymore, from any company.

Understood my friend no need to say more :wink2: . I'm not trying to talk you into buying them on the contrary .... but don't tell Matt I liked it better when they produced less and fewer collectors were looking at them . But that ship has sailed which gives me less time to build my collection before they sell out . On the good side Matts Happy and so are a lot more collectors . Regards Gebhard

The prone trooper looks like he is either fighting frantically or, is about to change the magazine of the MP he is using. The Two man MG42 is the pick of the bunch so far
Mitch

Finally! This is what i have been waiting for! The MG team and the soldier laying down are the best. My only complaint is the soldier with the grenade. The face looks a bit strange on that one, looks like he has a huge jaw. I hope Matt makes a change on that one before it goes into production.

Really like the Camo pattern on these guys. Especially like the MG team. Brad
