Greatly done!!, Michael. It looks perfect. Wish I was living near you.

I can't begin to imagine how many dioramas I'd own if I lived near Galveston

(I also can't imagine how much I'd sweat on a daily basis! {sm2})

How come you don't keep it for your legionnaires Mike or do you have another one?Looks great.
Mark

That really is a wonderful looking piece of work, Michael.
I am sure you will find an interested collector at the show.
Great job.

Isn't Galveston about a mile from the sun?

Mr. Mike,

I can't wait to see this diorama at the show. I hope you have others. If any of you all want this piece I will happily be you "buyer". Oh and by the way Mr. Mike is that Galveston Beach Sand on the base?

Warrior,

Galveston, Texas is not a mile from the Sun, freaking Bull Head City, NV is!!!! Been out there? Gawd **** that place was not and miserable. Almost as miserable as Daharan, Saudi Arabia. But, hey the Schwramas were good.

George:

When we bought our home in Texas I had reverse sticker shock, especially compared to the Bay Area. I felt like I had committed highway robbery until spring ended and summer began. There are certain parts of Texas that are not a mile from the sun, I am pretty sure they are part of the sun.

Then again, strangely enough I am leaving Palo Alto where it is in the 90’s this week and heading to San Antonio where it is in the 70’s.

Go figure.

PS-Nice fort Mike!!!!!!

Panzer,

Yes, we have had some of the weirdest weather here in San Antonio as of late. Last nights Thunderstorms were BIBLICALLY APOCALYPTIC!!! Brother I am talking floods, locus, raining fish and overall mayhem. This morning it was 55 degrees!!!! Yet last week it was 108 in San Angelo just two hours from here.

Did you know that the Meteorlogic (sic) Society has their conventions here just to study the weather. The blast from the Coast slamming into the Cold from the North hits right here in South Texas. Anyway, it will be 99 degrees and a 110% humidity when you come in two weeks...or not. Remember the floods that happened on the first day of the TTSC? I think I may book a room downtown just in case...and I live here!!!

thanks for all the nice comments on the fort...

those flooding rains during the show last year were incredible...

I remember watching from the parking garage (my smoking section)...waves and waves of water rushing down the side street of the Menger Hotel...

I wanted to go home and grab a surfboard...

I'm sure it influenced the gate attendance...
