War Along the Nile: Release Schedule 2010 (1 Viewer)

As to everyone's budget, I noticed that there is a Nile River paddle wheel steamer with crew scheduled for release in late 2010 or early 2011. Wonder what that will cost?

According to the WBritains representatives at the London show last Saturday, about £1000.00  but it will be limited to around 400 sets, so we need to start saving……

Forward Medic detachment, regiment following.

Great scene! I am very tempted to get some of the K&C buildings, but I assume that WB will be releasing some scenic accessories later on.

Looking forward to it Richard. Thought the mailing I received today was a nice touch too.

Just imagine how far £400,000 would go to restoring and preserving the original? Isn't life strange. A 1000 replicas - or the real thing?

A percentage of profits? A buyer's premium towards the fund?

Jeff: Thanks for the price information. Have you seen anything else about LL's dhow that is supposed to be ready in June?

Well, I thought I would dig this thread back out since we are almost in July! I can't wait for this release to come! Anyone else getting excited? I can't wait to see that large box on my front porch.

I was going to take a stab at collecting this series but there is too much too soon and I am too deep into the AZW and also with new Durbar sets on the horizon I just can't. I may pick up a couple of the laying down camels though and transport them to India. :)

I only had WB39005 [British Camel Corps Stretcher Bearer] on order
from MLK. First it was March, then June, then July and as of today
it is November. At least with this one figure something has seriously
happen.

I agree, but it is getting easier all the time as more and more Zulu items are having their release dates pushed forward.

It was stated in the Standard that there was a fire in one of the factories which caused delays. Perhaps this figure was being made there hence the delay.

hi.anybody nows or the battle of khartoum also come out? general gordons egyptian army vs the mahadist.

I am planning a smaller battle with the K&C dessert village as background and the WBritains war along the nile range as main soldiers. Can you give me some information about other producers, where I could find good add-ones please ? Heritage (Maison Militaire) had an impressive offer on the last London show I suppose ? John Jenkins design ? Would also match the upcoming Conte NWF-range with the WBritain range ? At the moment I only have 2 Tradition of London Highlanders (matte) from the Sudan range.
Every comment helps.
Thank you and thank you for the brilliant pictures (London show).
All the best from Germany

It seems the camel corps has now been reduced to one for the month of July, the rest now split between August, September and October. The July release of the Mahdist are sure going to over run any camel corps position without much effort. Always waiting it seems.
