I had previously converted some Camel Corps troopers into Royal Artillery and a Royal Marine Light Infantryman from a Zulu War 24th Regt private. Over the last couple of days I have managed to get a few more figures modified as RMLI. Also as I wasn't all that happy with the two kneeling RA crew I changed them a bit - added a shell to one and made a new ramrod for the other (which is held vertically now).

My next plan is to buy a handful of WAN Black Watch at the London show next month and repaint them as Cameron's wearing Red tunics which will add some colour and variety to the British side.

Thanks

Jeff

Jeff,
Great work man, keep at it. I look forward to your future endeavors.
Best,
Josh

Looking forward to seeing the Cameron's! Don't keep us waiting too long. Great work on the Marines!

Dave

Nicely done Jeff. Maybe you could turn this into a small business.

These are great! Well done, Jeff. - Doing conversions on available figures can add so much to your enjoyment of the hobby..... It can make the long wait for new releases much more bearable.

What brand of epoxy putty do you like to use?

Well done Jeff. Nice collection and the conversions look great. Chris

Maybe after seeing this Britain's might do a gun battery also for this series. Certainly would be more interesting than more foot figures with slightly different poses. More British mounted would be a welcome relief, if not I think my Nile collecting maybe complete, unless something unusual turns up in the series. Robin.

Great Stuff, Jeff! A change of head/arm/weapon and a dab or two of Milliput (or similar product) - and you have another unique piece or three to add to your collection.

Maybe one day, someone will have the bright idea of selling unpainted kits of parts - with various poses for those of us who actually like making up and painting their own?

Ooops - they already did that - once upon a time. jb

(Tip: check out the Treefrog special deals - there may be one or two there that may be of interest)

Once again Jeff, very nicely done . . . .

Outstanding work as always. Wish I had the talent and patience.

Thanks Guys! much appreciated comments and thanks also to those who have ticked the like box! :salute::

Jeff

Some years ago I used to paint on a commission basis but I find just a few for myself now is about it - I think it must be all the green paint fumes that are giving me a stinking headache!

Thank you! :smile2:

I use a milliput type of 2 part putty but I have used blu-tack coated in super glue before now!

New releases! - I agree seem to take forever and I would welcome some mounted figures/cavalry for both sides.

I hope to have a chat with Ken at the London show next month and try and find out what's in the pipeline for the WAN range.

Thanks again

Jeff
