War Park New Release in July - Groß deutschland is marching! (2 Viewers)

In my opinion the heads are different, if you look closely, some of them have a hooked nose, some straight, complete different features. Maybe it is a strange choice not making one of them blonde, or darker...it's the hair color that deceives..

Love War Park got some of the Kharkov figures
and just ordered the entire Gross Deutschland set
(sorry don't know how to type the German double s) recommend them goes well with First Legion

Received the entire set of these they are excellent probably my favourite figures!

I received the new War Park Panzer IVG (AX002) earlier this week from Minuteman Toy Soldiers. It is a fantastic model and likely one of the more detailed tank models in 1/30 scale. I really like the working tracks. For those interested, I’ve included a few photos of my little setup showcasing the tank below... Enjoy!

Looks great especially in your excellent scene. Well done, thanks!

Joe

The figures look under size next to the PZIV. The PZIV deck is 55mm high in 1/30 scale. The figures heads should be above the deck. The photos show the heads below the deck which would make their height close to 54mm! Has anyone measured their height?

Think it is just the angle of the shot. Quick pics, winter version.

Sarah the figure in your photo is the correct size relative to the PZIV. The Gross Deutchland figures are the ones that look under size. Thanks for posting these photos; it shows the PZIV is correct.

Oh thank God Debbie Downer/wet blanket/Doctor Killjoy/The Forum Rivet Counter approves, I can sleep easy now...…………..

It looks like Jacobs work from Toy Soldiers of Scandinavia to me.

The heads of the figures are way below the deck of the PZIV and it is not caused by the camera angle. Saharas excellent photo shows the correct relation.

Thank for all the compliments Warrior. I would consider responding in kind but I wouldn't stoop to that level of dispicable diatribe.

You're welcome for the compliments, my pleasure.

And you spelled despicable wrong Doctor Killjoy.

Rather than casting aspersions; perhaps you could simply answer the question. What is the height of the Grob Deutschland figures, top of base to top of head? Also the height of the deck of the Panzer IV would be useful information for those collectors who care about scale accuracy.

I am planning to purchase the figure set and several of the excellent Panzer IVs; but I need confirmation that they are an accurate 1/30 scale/60mm. Not 1/32 or 1/28 scale advertised as 1/30 as some manufacturers do!

I know I'm going to regret this, but like an accident on the other side of the highway, I can't help but look...……….

The grey Mark IV is the exact same tank as the white Mark IV; the grey Mark IV I have on hand measures 55mm from the bottom of the metal track to the top of the deck of the tank.

So, no deception here on the part of War Park; their tanks and figures are advertised as 1/30th, the tank is in fact 1/30th according to your specifications.

The ruler I used to measure has not be certified as accurate, I am not sure if it is properly calibrated, it's wooden and I've owned if for over 50 years, perhaps shrinkage has happened over time, much like what happens with a dip in the pool when the water is cold.

I don't have any GD figures handy at the moment, but again, War Park is advertised as 1/30th, their Kharkov figures are all 1/30th, numerous pictures are available on the internet showing War Park figures side by side with other 1/30th scale figures and they match up well.

In the photograph you claim shows "The heads of the GD figures are WAY below the tank deck"; again, look at the angle the photo is taken from, it's not ground level, it's looking down on the figures and the tank.

That's all I've got.

You're welcome.

I know I have said it before but the best decision I have made in this hobby is putting Katana on my ignore list.

Thank you I appreciate the confirmation of the PZ IV scale. FYI a 1/30 scale Panzer IV H has the following dimensions:
Height 90mm, Width 100mm, Hull Length 195mm, Overall Length 230mm. The dimensions are calculated from the actual dimensions and verified by comparison with a precise 1/30 scale model. I am happy to see War Park armor is true to the published scale.

Nothing wrong with a wood ruler in good condition. +/- 1mm is adequate accuracy for this purpose. A digital caliper is easier to read though! A Neiko Digital Caliper is $20.00 on Amazon.
