Those latest pics are fantastic, they really show the uniqueness of this train.
What a shame, and, to make matters worse, it had to happen to the US Army figurines !.We had planned to produce a large number of US army figurines. However, unexpectedly, the 3D modeler we found was extremely unreliable, resulting in significant delays in our progress.
Certainly, I agree, it's an impressive model.I hear ya, but you have to admit, this is a very unique item and surely a challenging undertaking.
I reckon the Gustav and Dora rail guns are just way too mammoth, so not sure what your point is or just sarcasm. The Karl has been done in this scale. As far as the "German fan club" label, maybe that applies to some folks, but it's a dead horse, so I'm trying to respond without reviving it yet again. German engineering certainly captivates a lot of collectors with the armor innovations / paint variants, variety of weaponry, different uniforms, etc that often had no Allied equivalents (by Allied choice). I want more Allied stuff too, but have accepted in this hobby German stuff will dominate especially in these times when manufacturers don't necessarily have the luxury of exploring lower sales platforms at the depth they would like to. With that being said, although not proportionate to German output, there actually has been vast Allied releases from K&C, FL, WB, and CS. There were Figarti's numerous Allied offerings in the past too that can be found on the secondary market. Xuan Hua's Russian tanks look amazing. I'm sure you pounced on one of those.Certainly, I agree, it's an impressive model.
In the same vein, to satisfy the German fan club, why not also the giant rail-mounted guns "Gustav" and "Dora", or the giant rail-mounted mortars "Karl" ?.
Regarding the giant rail guns, originally it was indeed sarcasm, but I wouldn't be surprised if a brand one day produced such models since the German market is so" bankable".I reckon the Gustav and Dora rail guns are just way too mammoth, so not sure what your point is or just sarcasm. I am not looking forward to anyone making a Russian WW2 train.I reckon the Gustav and Dora rail guns are just way too mammoth, so not sure what your point is or just sarcasm. Great post, I feel the exact same way.Agree, the original flatcar was a substantial piece, whereas this new one is fairly basic and no doubt more cost effective. My choice would be a re-issue of the first one, but a least WP are trying to satisfy its customers. Robin.
