War Park Sneak Peak (5 Viewers)

The War Park website states they are compatible with FM (Figarti Miniatures) so their train track and carriages are all G scale too.

Ive got lots of Figarti G scale trains, wagons and track and ive added some LGB and 3rd party G scale trains, wagons and buildings and all fit together very nicely. Some of the G scale stuff is definitely a bit big - their buildings and figures particularly, but for engines and wagons they fit well.

I dont have any War Park track or carriages so cant confirm if Figarti engines and wagons fit on their track aok and vice versa ? The huge War Park flat car they made was very expensive, you can purchase a 3rd party G scale one for a fraction of the cost.

Cheers,

Stefan

Notes on the inscription of the wagons, some letters I can't read perfectly:

Deutsche Reichsbahn
Kassel (name of a German town, but in this context Gattungs-Bezirk, a system of wagon classification)
G (wagon typ. Here “Gedeckte Güterwagen“ = „Covered freight wagons”

Ladegew. LADEGEW means “Ladegewicht” “Load weight” (in kg)
Tragf TRAGF means “Tragfähigkeit” “Load bearing capacity” (in kg)

Bodenfl BODENFL means “Bodenfläche“ “Floor space” (in m²)
Gew d. W means „Gewicht des Waggons“ “Dead weight of the wagon”

Showing on Facebook as coming soon

The War Park railroad cars are not G scale but are more like G1 scale. G1 scale is about 1/32 to 1/30 scale and is made by Marklin, KM1 and a few others. Attached is an image of a diorama that was done with War Park cars and Marklin and KM1 G1 model track, signals, cars and locomotives. You can also see part of my lucky purple pencil. Hope this helps.

Yes it does help. I thought the size was going to be fine. Regret not getting the flatcar, I was getting two, but failed to pull the trigger with concerns of the expense and when I finally decided to proceed, of course they are nowhere to be found. Will not make the same error on the covered wagon. Robin.

Some people are confusing G-Gauge with G-Scale, the latter can vary a lot depending upon the manufacturer and the prototype.

Well the posts below only confuse this thread. What on earth is "G Gauge" ? never searched for that before. When buying train stuff I always search on ebay for "G scale" and all the good stuff comes up from eastcoastrailway here in UK and from overseas Piko, Marklin etc. Same on ebay.com

The diorama picture below from "7th OVI" is absolutely lovely - thanks for posting that!

the photo below is a mix of my Figarti (G scale) and Piko engine (G scale - in the middle of the 2 Figarti G scale trains) and all the carriages are a mix of Figarti (G scale) and eastcoastrailway (G scale - Chinese knockoffs) flat cars, passenger cars, and various other cars with sides small and large - simply repainted to look like the Figarti ones which are now impossible to get. All sitting on Figarti G scale track.

As War Park say their train track/carriages fit with Figarti they must be G scale too but I dont have any so cant confirm! Im hoping someone can.....

Ive lately added some Aristocraft G scale engines and they fit in nicely too. I'd prefer the Marklin engines as they are similar to the Figarti ones but they are $1000 each!

That plane overhead will solve the problem when it drops its load on this lot.^&grin , Robin.

G Gauge is consistent, being the actual width of the track i.e. 45 millimeters/1.75 inches.

However the actual Scale (relative size) of the locomotive etc can vary to significant degrees depending if it's meant to represent say a large modern standard gauge loco or a small narrow gauge loco, or even children's toy.

For example any G 'Scale' model loco built to run on G Gauge could range from say 1/12 to 1/32 Scale, which is a huge difference, at least to me.

After seeing the new figures, I'm even more impressed with this train car. Will make an excellent scene!

Yes Wayne, pretty sure it’s Heavy Water, destined for sinister purposes. This wagon and figures should definitely compliment your existing train collection. Robin.

...as for only one man loading them weight wise they may not contain what we think they do ??

Nah, that drum contain's fuel, and weighs about 380lbs...only need the one figure to load it because it's clearly representing Arnold's dad...{sm4}

More seriously, War Park definitely needs at least a second figure assisting in rolling that drum up the ramp.

To be proper, the guy on top in the
Train cart or truck should have a rope
Pulling the barrel up,while having two
Men push the barrel up the ramp.

Great figures and concept. I would love Jenkins, K n c or Britains to make some ACW train related stuff. Trains played a huge part in the ACW and other conflicts yet its mostly ignored

Wow, those winter Germans are a step above War Park’s earlier Kharkov figures! I figured I wouldn’t get them when I saw the initial pics of the prototypes, but seeing them painted Ionia making me reconsider. And like you said, Mark IV, I only like some of the Russians. I wish War Park would make a Russian tank and some Russian tanker figures that could go in a hatch.

Oof, fantastic looking figures coming out…Warpark is on a roll
