All is well and things will resume soon. Spoke to Hangye and he is well. Their factory has resumed operations.
What I mention here does not just apply to War Park, but applies to most of the Chinese factories or offices, including my place of work in Shenzhen. Safe to say it includes all those that have factory operations in China, such as K&C, JJD, FL, TG, WP, WB, etc etc.
Each of the different brands' factories/offices probably have staff that went back to their hometown during the CNY. For staff that return from outside of the GZ province or outside of China, they have to quarantine for 14 days. If the brand in question happened to have less staff that went out of the province (in this case GZ has most of where their factories are located), then they are more likely to restart operations early since it is easier to get a full staff.
Factories and offices have to abide by strict processes to restart operations. Some examples of the restart process includes:
- Showing staff movement traceability
- Showing staff that are out of province have gone through their quarantine process.
- Having sufficient surgical masks for the staff to start and also continual supply to continue operations
- Having daily temperature recording for all staff
- Having sanitisers for staff to clean their hands
- Having cleaning solutions that are known to eliminate viruses
- Passing audits conducted from time to time to ensure compliance
As we speak, I see China is pretty much getting their economic activity resume though meetings are now conducted at a distance via online communications, etc. This may affect the number of releases as it is a more cumbersome process since face to face visits and meetings are less welcomed at this moment. Economic activities may not be at the previous levels, but definitely, it is much better than a month ago. Now the final step is when those people under lockdown in Wuhan and Hubei be allowed to return.
