Ouchie! But it is very well donePlease note that this tank requires players to spend $800 to engage a third party for modifications and conflicts. The War Park has no production plan.

Well said That Man, Agree with you totally, have the original one at $280, i am noticing this happening a lot, there are people that do this, buy a figure/vehicle, repaint it and mark it as 'Professional painted' and then think they can charge what is stupid money. Not at 800 no thanks.
And............UNsold.Sold
Yep 800 US is a bit out of my price range mateAnd............UNsold.
If it's a top shelf, spectacular repaint/weathering job like this one, then in the end, it's up to the individual collectors if the price tag is worth it.Well said That Man, Agree with you totally, have the original one at $280, i am noticing this happening a lot, there are people that do this, buy a figure/vehicle, repaint it and mark it as 'Professional painted' and then think they can charge what is stupid money.
It is a beauty though I must say.Yep 800 US is a bit out of my price range mate![]()
Agree mate, I wish companies offered dirty weathered vehicles as a pre-order and pay up front, I would buy for sure.If it's a top shelf, spectacular repaint/weathering job like this one, then in the end, it's up to the individual collectors if the price tag is worth it.
Do people have any clue/idea how much time, effort and talent goes into turning out a model like this..............IMO, it would win a medal at an AMPS show, @the baron can chime in as to how a model like this would do at MFCA or any club show.
Maybe War Park commissions this super talented artist to make 10, so there would be 10 in the world like this one or similar to it as no two will look the same way when it's customized vs cranked out production style from a factory.
As you and others know, I collect 1/72nd scale/20mm figures, AFV's, scenery, etc, etc,I have a **** ton of WWII AFV's that modelers built, painted and weathered for me and I paid a pretty penny for them, but they are stunning, at an AMPS show a number of years ago, someone did an incredible winter Panzer IV with mesh side skirts and incredible winter weathering with mud and such, plus a nice effective white wash, I found the modeler and asked him if he would sell it, he said "Sure, for 150.00" and I said "SOLD", it's one of my nicest AFV's.
Whether or not this item is produced is anyones guess, but for those who appreciate high end work/talent, I'm sure they would be interested in this sort of thing.
One of your nicest models costs $150, so what would one be for $800? A 'Supermodel'. But that $150 for what someone had build, painted and weathered, where as this is just essentially an overspray, great one, and a bit of remodelling. Fair enough the base model does cost more than the plastic kit.If it's a top shelf, spectacular repaint/weathering job like this one, then in the end, it's up to the individual collectors if the price tag is worth it.

The tank I was referring to is 1/72nd scale, not 1/30th scale, I guess you missed that part, or just ignored it to make your point. One of your nicest models costs $150, so what would one be for $800? A 'Supermodel'. But that $150 for what someone had build, painted and weathered, where as this is just essentially an overspray, great one, and a bit of remodelling. You are right it is upto the individual and as an individual i thought that price was too expensive, as did others on the forum, so that is the main discussion, not the quality. When comparing what else you can get from our hobby for the same money it is, for me, bit much. Buying this is equal to 2 tanks from JJD or 2 SPGs and multiple figures from T Gunn or for $80 more you can get both K & C excellent new Tiger 1s. these are not the same, but it is roughly the same money.
It is not a plastic model and creating a plastic model has a different skills set than doing this, what is effectively a repaint, a very very good one, have seen great work like this at IPMS shows, especially at the Telford and Thornbury shows, mostly plastic and a lot of scratchbuild. Those were in plastic/resin and they build the kits, where this is repaint, or your could term it an 'overspray' or extreme weathering, on this version they have removed parts, but $520 for a repaint [and remodelling] is a bit steep, the track extenders are a nice touch, but i have never seen a SIG33 with them, but thats not to say they did not use them.
Warpark is not going to produce it, so it is not 'anyones guess'. It would be a one off and you could get anyone to do it, just buy the original.
Would be great if they did the SIG33 based on the Panzer II, Desert and Russian theartre versions.
