Welcome to the Deep Freeze (3 Viewers)

April Fools came a day late here in New York (a view from the passenger window of my wife's Jeep Wrangler on the way to work this morning, I couldn't drive, my back is out):

It’s already melting. The temperatures will be slightly above freezing so surfaces shouldn’t freeze.

You guys in NY and Boston are getting Canadian Spring weather and then some courtesy of storms coming from Denver and nor'easters. Can't even blame cold weather and snow storms from Canada - we've hardly had any cold or snow this winter and none for over a month. Weird weather. ^&confuse

This weather seriously needs to stop!
I am beyond sick of shoveling the driveway and the deck of this wet, heavy snow! Even my poor pup Fury just sighs when he has to go out. He is the black with a bit of salt. Coco is the little scrapper just visiting for the week.

This was just a few hours in to the latest 8+ inches from Tuesday & Wednesday...

It always looks pretty, but that is old news......

You have my sympathy. Snow is in the forecast here for Friday and Saturday.

Ugh. Snowing here tonight. I can't remember April snow before. Hope springs eternal though. They are calling for temps in the 70s later this week.

It'll be gone by tomorrow afternoon. Average temperatures are in the 40s, and we're getting increasingly longer days. Snow is meaningless in April.

Winter storm Xanto is hammering the Midwest right now, blizzard like conditions, some areas are getting a foot plus.

On April 14th.

For the love of God, make it stop.

We're getting heavy rain tomorrow and Monday, no snow, Larry up in Maine is in for different weather from what I've seen.

This is what my son and daughter-in-law woke up to this morning in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin . . . . about 40 miles north east of Green Bay . . . AND the snow hasn't stopped falling yet . . . . We live about 2.5 hours south west of there and we are getting rain mixed with snow and expecting ice tonight.

We’ve had two nice days here, in the high 70s. Tomorrow it’s back to cold weather, relatively speaking, high 40s.

In Rochester we have yet to hit 60 degrees in 2018. Not once. We've only topped 50 twice. It's snowing again...still...

The lakes still have 3 feet of ice on them. Usually they are getting cleared by now.

Make it stop. Please, make it stop!!

Toronto is getting a early Spring storm which started Friday night and ends Monday. We got snow, plenty of ice pellets and freezing rain. Can't drive well on it - there have been hundreds of accidents, mostly single vehicles sliding off the roads. City warning not to park under trees or on hills. :rolleyes2: It's transitioning now to heavy rain and high winds.

Reported in the newspaper this morning . . . Sturgeon Bay in the Door County peninsula of Wisconsin got more than 30 inches of snow accumulation during this past Saturday through Sunday snow storm. Its the most snow accumulation fallen in one storm in the past 130 years. My son said it was a heap of fun . . . . NOT! And guess what . . . . we are under another winter storm warning from 10:00 a.m. tomorrow morning until 1:00 a.m. Thursday morning with an expected snow fall of from 4-7 inches . . . . oh yay!
:smile2: Mike

Total accumulation from yesterday's snow storm was 8 inches here . . . very heavy and wet snow. On the plus side, I haven't seen any mosquitoes yet . . .

Another load of heavy, wet snow yesterday made the snow levels higher than my deck once again....poor Fury doesn't even have steps anymore! Just jumps off the deck into the snow banks so he can tell the squirrels and bunnies to vacate his yard! But the deer in the hollows can stay, he doesn't bark at them....
