Well this is not a thread to start trouble at all but a thread to share opions and views. For me the quality that K&C do are First class and they really do alot of ranges that I like. So how do they get my money. For me I wanted Zulu's and waited for years but then I turned to another couple of makers. Than I wanted Russians after the Four set's I have that K&C made so I changed to another company. Then the Pacific by K&C that I only have the Marines but no Japs so as soon as someone else makes them I may change. I have 90% of my collection is K&C but I am finding that now 90% of my collecting are from other companies. This is what K&C can do for me to get my money out of me.

NO1. RUSSIANS.

NO2. Japs.

NO3. Pacific Australians.

NO4. More artillery.

What other things would you guy's like to draw your money out of your deep pockets. Simmo.{sm4}

I have just started collecting K&C Napoleonics so I still have plenty of options. I know its been discussed but I'd love some Prussians. I tend to buy about eight figures from each range so a buy seven get one free promotion would help!

Anything Grey German,Luftwaffe,AK, or Bulge............................^&grin
Money spent.

Anything WW1 in action poses, WW1 airfield sets, more Crimea (however unlikely), WW2 winter Russians, more great buildings for WW1 / WW2, RAF, LOJ Romans, Crusader / Saracen seige equipment and sets.........

Hello fellow Australians. I collect across several eras and I seem to have a different maker for each one but K&C are my pick for the Napoleonic wars. My focus is the British army and I'm very keen to see British Line and the 95th Rifles. I also want another French cav regt. I would love the Light Horse figs but too expensive a range for me. I would probably go for some Kokoda Track diggers but it's hard to see that they would have wide enough appeal.

You spent too much of your money on Indians and Zulus!

To be fair think kc make more than any other company but would like them to make some Vengence weapon stuff

For Japanese, I would prefer a bayonet charge theme. That is, charging poses, BUT, with plenty dead & getting hit, spinning around, going down, etc. A suicide charge getting hosed would really get me excited.

The time window for K&C making a 251C/1 apc is closing; it must be on FL's short list & if they get there first, I think K&C will take a hit in WW2 market share. I think it would be such a major draw that some collectors will jump ship & go to FL for that piece, and that will be the seed for them to stay with the FL scale.

a grey winterized Opel ambulance would be nice...like the radio truck they did

winter SS in the parkas

more Blitzkrieg Germans, early SS

winterized Panther

Pershing

Berlin Russians...203 howitzer team

Berlin occupation theme...with lots of pretty ladies waving to tankers (please talk to me on the color of the tanks if interested)

Well Simmo, produce excellent Toy Soldiers and vehicles month after month year in and year out, for a range of WW2 theaters unrivalled by any other producer out there today. Oh hang on...its what they do now!^&grin:wink2:

Seriously though Simmo, no other producer is even close in my view. As a WW2 buff North Africa, Battle of Britain, Normandy, The Bulge, Arnhem, Crete, amongst others all hold interest for me, and K&C produce wonderful releases for all these year after year. Its what keeps me returning for more my friend!{bravo}}

Nothing keep doing what their doing its working!!!! 99.9% of what i collect is King & Country they are
AWSOME!!!!! {sm3}

strange thread IMO. One point I would agree with to a certain extent is that K&C should be looking to fill the gaps on things like a hanomag. I would like to see the bread and butter AFV's done as its been a while Panzer IV, 8 wheeled armoured car, 222, etc really need to be done. I am not so sure about collectors being drawn to FL and leaving K&C if they do a hanomag and, somewhat less convinced that they would not return to K&C even if they got one. I would think TG doing one may lose K&C a few sales more than FL.

Whatever faults some of the stuff has (which, all manufacturers do) and, the fact they don't cover every collectors personal likes (though the far east is not done by many manufacturers) they comprehesively cover a boat load of campaigns and eras

There are specific gaps in the eras covered by K and C. The obvious one to me is the Victorian colonial wars. This gap however has been filled by WB, JJ and Conte in matt and a lot of others in gloss. I suppose the Boxer uprising and the American West are negelected areas as perhaps are some of the more European focused Battles of the Napoleonic wars.

Russian and Japanese soldiers and armor. Also I would like to see a bit more weathering and battle damage to the armor and aircraft. All could take a lot of rounds and keep on ticking. Maybe even a POW series to honor them.

I already purchase K&C figures but, a lot less than I had in the past... My K&C ranges of choice are Napoleonic and Alamo although, I have several Napoleonic collections which are composed of other companies. K&C has a unique style of its own. It comes down to a matter of personal taste in style. I like my collection to be composed of different styles and therefore, I tend to collect figures from various manufacturers. Sometimes they can be mixed together and sometimes not and I don't mind at all separating them out into different dioramas, vignettes or simply just as a standalone figure to be admired as is. Variety is nice! In my view, different companies do a better job of representing different historical eras in terms of output, historical accuracy, dynamism, etc. K&C definitely fits the bill for WW2 and some other eras while other companies do better on other fronts.

The problem for me is trying to prevent wanton and unstructured spending as there are too many individual K&C sets and ranges that I like. Towards the end of 2010 I made the decision to put an end to my K&C (and model figure) addiction. The reason was because there didn't seem to be anything new being released in my area (SOHK). But like all addictions, total withdrawal is pretty hard to do... particularly if you remain lurking in this forum and are tempted by all the wonderful new releases... and not just from K&C. And despite 'wasting' the money that I had stashed away each month for the rumored Chinese Pirate Junk on some pretty cool overseas vacations, at the start of 2012, I find that my K&C collection has grown to include many of the K&C UK Crimea series and some WW1. There's also been stiff competition from other manufacturers, JJD (WW1) and Morgan Miniatures (Aztecs & Conquistadors) which hasn't helped me much.

My most recent model figure purchase has been a pre-order for the latest Thomas Gunn figure featuring the WW1 German stormtrooper with the flamethrower and wearing a gas mask. Something quite outside my usual area of collecting as I prefer non-combat / parade type poses. But, I'm hoping to see more of these figures wearing gas masks and if K&C released any, I'd definitely be buying into them. I'd also really like to see a WW1 period Rolls Royce Armored Car that can be used to compliment ALH or Lawrence of Arabia that's been proposed. Other than that, I'm going to try and hold out for the Chinese Pirate Junk ship... not an easy thing to do with all the great stuff that is released though.

Your are kidding mate . Every company can do more so get off your high horse and come back to earth. K&C do everything Rob HELLO.Simmo.

A clear case of you can not please all of the people all of the time.

However a few observations.

I agree with Rob in that K&C has the largest variety of WWII vehicles and figures from
different theatres of operations. Their current WWII inventory is probably more than all other brands combined (ie. Figarti, FL, CS,
TG, Britains).

K&C also has the largest range of WWI items (even not including The Lighthorse series).

They also cover the mainstream subjects such as Medieval, Napoleonics, American Revolution and ACW.

They offer the following series not covered by other brands :

Ancient Greeks
Life of Jesus
The Alamo
The Real West
Streets of HK
Imperial China
US Navy
Luftwaffe
RAF
Kreigsmarine
Napoleon in Egypt

plus have produced a good variety of diorama items to complement their figures.

K&C have in the past done Russians and Japanese and have indicated more Russians are in the pipeline.

Regarding Pacific Australians there was a poll about Australian figures in 2009 and Pacific Australians came behind WWII North Africa and Lighthorse. Since then we have had 30 figures in the Lighthorse series with more to come. This month we have a good release of Australians in North Africa.

Regarding new Artillery I think a clue has very recently appeared on the K&C home page.
