What can K&C do to want you to buy them. (1 Viewer)

Then maybe you should title your thread a bit better Simmo:wink2:. One other tiny tiny point (Wayne this is not an argument by the way^&grin)I'll wave the flag for whoever I want thanks. I don't think I've ever told you not to fly the flag of your new FL figs? All the best anyway Simmo :smile2:

Oh dear, got a new year hangover Simmo, you sound a bit grumpy again^&grin .Still facts is facts my friend.Happy new year anyway Simmo! :wink2:

Hello Rob ,

It is what can K&C do to make more people spend there money on K&C products instead of other makers. NEW IDEA'S NEW PAINTING NEW SCULPTING. SO SERIOUS ROB LET'S NOT BRING OTHER TOY SOLDIER MAKERS INTO THIS AND STOP FLYING THE FLAG FOR ONE BRAND AND ADD SOME OUT OF THE BOX IDEA'S . Simmo.

Your are kidding mate . Every company can do more so get off your high horse and come back to earth. K&C do everything Rob HELLO.Simmo.

A clear case of you can not please all of the people all of the time.

However a few observations.

I agree with Rob in that K&C has the largest variety of WWII vehicles and figures from
different theatres of operations. Their current WWII inventory is probably more than all other brands combined (ie. Figarti, FL, CS,
TG, Britains).

K&C also has the largest range of WWI items (even not including The Lighthorse series).

They also cover the mainstream subjects such as Medieval, Napoleonics, American Revolution and ACW.

They offer the following series not covered by other brands :

Ancient Greeks
Life of Jesus
The Alamo
The Real West
Streets of HK
Imperial China
US Navy
Luftwaffe
RAF
Kreigsmarine
Napoleon in Egypt

plus have produced a good variety of diorama items to complement their figures.

K&C have in the past done Russians and Japanese and have indicated more Russians are in the pipeline.

Regarding Pacific Australians there was a poll about Australian figures in 2009 and Pacific Australians came behind WWII North Africa and Lighthorse. Since then we have had 30 figures in the Lighthorse series with more to come. This month we have a good release of Australians in North Africa.

Regarding new Artillery I think a clue has very recently appeared on the K&C home page.

Regards
Brett

Wayne, I'm trying to stay out of ordinary arguments on the forum as you said 'within the forum rules' but if this one is about why you hate a South African/English Cricket player, well that can only lead to a dark argument indeed, I'm defo outta here!!{eek3}^&grin

oh yeah you'll hate it Wayne, but its just swings and roundabouts isn't it. All producers make stuff we like or dislike, you like the TG set of the Brit being clubbed, I don't like it much so didn't buy it, so you won't buy this new figure from K&C,its all good and each to their own my friend^&cool{bravo}}And how boring it would be if we all collected the same thing, vive la difference!

Rob

Rob....

Your playing semantics with the argument thing and, little cracks are already starting to be seen. You do know though, that you can use the flag for a bat in cases where stupidity surfaces!!!!!! though, that will lose you bet for sure.

On the TG figure being clubbed I thought it was a german mistake??? its one of the figures from the eagle has landed and, not a brit... the dozy nazi is banging one of his mates senseless!!!!

strange thread IMO. One point I would agree with to a certain extent is that K&C should be looking to fill the gaps on things like a hanomag. I would like to see the bread and butter AFV's done as its been a while Panzer IV, 8 wheeled armoured car, 222, etc really need to be done. I am not so sure about collectors being drawn to FL and leaving K&C if they do a hanomag and, somewhat less convinced that they would not return to K&C even if they got one. I would think TG doing one may lose K&C a few sales more than FL.

Whatever faults some of the stuff has (which, all manufacturers do) and, the fact they don't cover every collectors personal likes (though the far east is not done by many manufacturers) they comprehesively cover a boat load of campaigns and eras
Mitch

It surprises me when a collector of one manufacturer's WWII AFVs says they are going to switch completely to another manufacturer. IMO, all makers have good, mediocre and even a few poor models. Other than K&C, other makers do fairly limited runs of an AFV and have made relatively few AFVs. And none have made the old classics that K&C made years ago. Some of those old, cruder AFVs are among my favourites - like the Matilda for example.

Rob doesn't need your help to get into an argument on the Forum. He is more than capable of doing that on his own. (Should a smiley face go here???)

Watching Rob avoid an argument for an entire year will be better than the Monty Python "the argument" :D

King&Country was my first choice for collecting back in 2007. I enjoy the size of the figures and vehicles in addition to the painting and detail. Being a collector of WWII ETO....Germans, Americans, Russians I have plenty of choices to choose from. With new releases on a monthly basis and K&C Collectors Quarterly every few months K&C is doing everything quite well IMO. Since 2007 I have added Collectors Showcase and Thomas Gunn items to my collection, but K&C continues to draw my collecting interests. Looking forward to this years releases. !!!!!

No cracks here Mitch, Simmo has had a pop at me and I don't think my posts constitute an argument at all ...yet

On a serious note I think in Wayne and Terry I have two doubters (although Terry is not sure as he won't bet me^&grin) but I shall prove them wrong. Should be funny if Simmo has another go though...with 363 days to go its not an easy start:wink2:

I'm sure. But I don't want to bet on someone's frailty. As for Wayne he will probably bet on anything and gloat hugely when he wins. ^&grin

We shall see Mr wise 'before the event' guy. :rolleyes2:

Terry...

Its quite natural to buy different products and have an eclectic collection of figures I have that to a certain extent myself. Its the complete Rah Rah for one company and distain for another and, then the reverse almost, in such a short space of time that makes it all very strange to me.

I quite like the fumbling along blindly approach!!!!!!

I do agree about the early K&C models having a strange charm
