TCS has produced many innovative AFV's to date. Which is the best? I consider TCS's Jagdpanther the best they have produced to date! The Stug III Ausf J was also a very fine piece; with exceptional detail IMHO.

Hello katana,
No doubt, The non-winter Stug III Ausf G is my favourite model made by TCS. Decals are always TCS´s weak points (in the same way that KnC suffer from static hatches). :salute::

Best, most correctly detailed would be the TCS Marder III and DAK Panzer I. Both very nice models. My third choice would be the early StuG IV with removeable roof and full interior. Also a great model and better than their later stuff.

I don't have any newer CS, but the Marder III, Stug IV and this MG set are among my favorites.P1060877 (Small).JPGP1060774 (Small).JPGP1040321 (Small).JPG

I love the panther, motor visible, and a scary smoking commander ....{sm3}

I have the Stug with the removable roof and I like it quite a bit but my favorite vehicle is the later Wittmann Tiger I that was large enough to put all my figures in the right perspective compared to the tank. It is a huge beast. -- Al

Great thread, good photos and interesting evaluations of the best pieces. Facinating that the early pieces are the most highly regarded in terms of quality and detail. I wonder why that is the case? Experiece usually realizes improved products. The first TCS Tiger I had superior detail and quality to the later versions. The first TCS Sherman had the innovative interchangeable turrets. The latest Sd.Kfz 251 Hanomag is an improvement over the earlier version, as the engine covers are properly scaled. The early Panther is superior to the lter version; which has problems with the slope of the turret roof and glacis plate. The early version was not perfect as I consider the wheel bolts a bit too large; but the engine hatch and engine detail is great! The Hetzers are really nice; but the green paint is a bit bright for my taste. I think the Panzer III is very well done and would look great in Panzergrau! TCS has not done any early war color schemes to date. Several collectors would like to see a TCS early production Tiger I in Panzergrau TCS could put togather a neat early war Kampfgroup using their early production Tiger I, Panzer III, Sd.Kfz 251 and Sd.Kfz 232 using existing molds!

All of the Collector's Showcase King Tiger's remain IMO a great value for the price......................$179.00 with crew and thrown track option !

There is a lot

All their 88,s are good the early PZ1 is a beauty i have a heap of their stuff great value for money.

I doubt whether this is the best TCS AFV but it is the only one I have. I like it and it was one of the first photographs I posted on TF that I thought was really sharp. I can say, without fear of being corrected, that this is the best TCS AFV in my collection.

It's great that these AFV's work with 1:28th scale figures.....Also they priced reasonably:smile2:.....I'm not a fan of the factory paint which is too bright for my taste...But.... with some weathering they work quite well. NICE:salute::

Their Normandy JP is my favourite. May be my favourite AFV in my collection, but let's called it shared Best position with my HB Bergepanther and K & C Meyer Command Halftrack set.

Matt; Get the reloading set to go with the Jagdpanther; it makes a very interesting display. I posted a photo of it on the TCS thread earlier. The Jagdpanther is Brian's best piece of armor to date IMHO! I agree with a prior comment that the green is a bit bright. I repaint anything I don't like. Acrylics from Tamiya are easy to use and clean up with water. Brian used a darker green on the Stug III; which I display next to the Jagdpanther. The darker green is much better; but the Dunkelgleb is off a bit on the Stug!
