Evilchuck,
Thanks for serving the good people of New York as a policeman, my father was Boston PD for 30 years, so thanks again, I know what you officers go through as I saw what papa bear went through and most of it was not pretty.

As most of you already know, I sell toy soldiers for a living, couldn't ask for a better situation in life, I'm a lucky person.........

Gentle Friends,

I am presently retired from a successful 37 year career in American Higher Education. Prior to my retirement, I served as the Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs and Director of the University Counseling Center in a medium sized midwestern University.

Now the majority of my time is spent with my family, with my very good friends, and with my toy soldier collection.

Warmest personal regards,

Pat

retirement is beautiful pat,and no better way to spend it than, friends family and toys

Chuck,
My pleasure; my dad is 80 years old and full of life, he has some pretty amazing stories to tell, he's pretty much seen it all, feels for the kids on the job today, overworked and underappreciated is how he sees it...............

Regards,
George

Retired from the US Navy in 1976. In 24 years of service I only served 3 days of real sea duty. Started out as a boot retired as a Lt. Commander.
My son server in US Navy made it to Lcdr. but left the service for a better paying work as a medical engineer.:)

I am a retired municipal police officer of 24 years. I now work in manufacturing as a blending operator, mixing resin with minors to create PVC pipe. I wonder where all this pipe goes!!!

Hello everyone,

Just noticed this thread, lots of interesting careers! Although I am not technically a K&C collector, I have been collecting toy soldiers for as long as I can remember. For a living, I am one of those crazy people who did an AB/MA in history and then was even more nuts and wrote a PhD! I have been suffering the consequences of that choice for the last year (read: unemployment). But all that has changed and now I am a research fellow at Hopkins (starting in August). Hopefully someday I will have tenure and have plenty of time to concentrate on toy soldiers...until then, it's publish or perish!

Cheers mates

Well you got more RR years then me. I had 26 years before disability. I worked for Grand Trunk/ Canadian National in road and yard service. Also, covered Amtrak trains off extra board. I hated working amtrak and a few of my buddies did it full time and gave up CN. I was a locomotive engineer. Leadmen
