What other hobbies do you have besides K&C (1 Viewer)

Louis. In the Peoples Socialistic Republic of California you can,t even walk around in public with something that resembles a gun.

Other than Toy Soldiers. I also collect some nice old antique Bottles. Mostly Embossed Drug store bottles and cobalt blue. I still like to go hunting for deer and elk and in oregon we can still get carry permits for pistols or carry one in our car as long as it is not concealed. We can still pack pistols on our hips as long as we dont go into banks etc. I was raised hunting to feed the family now that it has turned into a sport I dont enjoy it as much. Something about getting older makes me not want to kill innocent animals any longer. I still take a Rifle with me when I go camping to target practice and for self protection since we are getting more and more cougars and even a few wolfs in our neighborhood. I enjoy going to old homestead sites to dig for old bottles but they are getting hard to find also. Another hobby I have is having fun with my grandkids and introducing them to the toy soldier hobby. I just had a toy soldier yard sale to get rid of some of my lesser items. Made about a hundred and fifty dollars to buy some better stuff with that was a lot of fun.
Get them in the dirt.

I have been looking at the forum for some time now and not felt the need to post but I can't pass on this one. All of the mentions of what we did when we were kids make me want to join in. I am lucky to live in a part of CA. that is still in the country and we don't have all of the rules and regs. that some have. So my 10 year old can still have a BB gun and we go and hunt the very dangerous ground squirll fron time to time with the 22.
In the past I did do some hunting of igs and deer but as I get older I don't find that much fun (more like work).
I only have two kids one boy (the 10 year old) and one girl, Oh wait! I have been married to her for 20 years this month:)

Power tools.
and Clocks.
Don't know why but I really like old clocks. Don't have many and I don't wind most of them.
The power tools I use in my work, I am one of those fools that loves to work. Can't sit still.

Hay Soldier01, don't forget those killer frogs when your out and about with the 22. We used to hunt them with 22's, bows and arrows and the occassional M80 back when I was a kid out here in Minnesota. Welcome to the Forum and I am glad to hear from you.

The local toy soldier shop here sells lots of antiques and novelties. They recently acquired a collection of 19th century medical devices (many quite nasty looking). This collection included a large number of glass eyes which look quite strange sitting together on the shelf. So I guess there is someone out there who collects just about anything. They also have a three foot bronze statue of a shirtless Elvis if anyone is interested (fortunately the younger E).

In Minneapolic is the Museum of Questionable Medical Devices. You should see some of the stuff they have. Most prove that people will buy anything. If anyone is ever in the Twin Cities they should make it a must see, along with the Mall of America and all the other neat stuff we have here up North.
