Follows on from the previous poll.....I've eaten too much turkey, so why not?

Gandamak would make an excellent small series that could be based on the very famous last stand painting. -- Al

Exactly {bravo}}
The Last Stand at Gandamak would be great.

More FIW......Fort Necessity please  (With a Jumonville Glen tie-in)
And possibly Grant's highlanders outside Fort Duquense

And maybe some post-FIW action in the form of Pontiac Rebellion, namely Bushy Run Battle ^&cool

I would LOVE Gandamak (with the flag tied around the Sergeant's chest) or ANY 1st Afghan War scene, especially a mountain pass ambush. I would also love Napoleonic era Indian conflicts, like Seringapatam and Assay.

Of those listed the Second Boer War interests me a great deal. It was more of a guerilla war so dios featuring both protagonists would be troublesome but have always thought Buller's attempted crossing of the Tugela at Colenso would make a good piece.

JJ is well known for making things slightly away from the norm and I have alluded to my next suggestion on a previous thread elsewhere. My leftfield suggestion would be the Shangani Patrol of 1893, who made a last stand against the Matabele.

Of course VIMY RIDGE is what I'm really after and if you're in London in March then you will no doubt see John struggling to walk around as he drags me along, attached very firmly to his leg pleading and wailing for it to happen.

Well, you know John does have a huge soft spot for Canada and things WW1.:wink2: Just look at his Knights of the Skies series; Bishop, Brown, Barker, MacLaren; Canadian Camel drivers all.^&grin You never know... -- Al

This would be FANTASTIC! Hopefully for the 100th in 2017 this will be done.

My apologies to Billy Bishop as he never flew Camels. He was a Nieuport/SE-5 pilot. I just thought it was clever to list all under the same heading.:redface2: -- Al

I know I probably sound a bit like a broken record on this one, but I still want the Battle of New Orleans. It is right up John's line and the wild variety of troops on both sides should keep him busy for years. With the 200th anniversary in two years the timing is perfect.

Would also like to see some expansion of WWI. Perhaps Verdun, the Somme, St Mihiel 1918 (there is a great moment where LTC George Patton met BG Douglas MacArthur -- perhaps the only time the two met).

God I hope he reads this...

the poll results today...1/9/13...over 38% want more FIW...

that's a very big number...well over 1/3 want FIW...

I really hope he puts some stock in what the majority wants...

I'm not surprised to be honest, and I don't think FIW will be forgotten by any means. But there is more to history than FIW...Whether you buy it or not...Sales are King I think. He'd get bored just doing FIW, and Planes/tanks etc mean using different factories etc..... I'm looking forward to more POA..But thats just me!!!

Trojan War. I would be interested to see what John could do with the ancients.
