What Toy Soldier items Have You Acquired in The Last 2 Weeks ? (1 Viewer)

I believe I bought this set in the early seventies and then sold it a few years later.
Beautiful set but I found it depressing since my memories of the assasination and funeral ceremony were so vivid. I was a teenager and Kennedy was the first president I had an interest in. He and Jackie seemed like royalty. We really did not appreciate all the politics but saw them as a celebrity couple with youth and charisma.

I have a flyer from STE, the manufacturer, of the set, directed to funeral homes.

Have no plan to get the howitzer .... only loaders for now because I like the postures of these 2 figures ^&grin

Hi Scott

No loose Trophy from me Scott...only Top of the Range....highly collectible sets :wink2: ^&grin. I was expecting you in your Ranger kit (not the Football Club I hasten to add:tongue:)

I'm not sure who was selling the loose Zulus, there were a few loose Mexican American/Alamo and also some boxed ACW sets

If you make it to the Xmas Show I'll catch you there :salute::

By the way did you see the dismounted Nap Lancers my mate was selling, Tommy posted a great picture of his on the Trophy thread

I picked up a couple of AN10 Attack Jeeps from the original Arnhem Series. Very difficult piece to find,
I certainly had a lot of fun looking for it!:)

I recently received this "Hand-To-Hand" set as an addition to my Jacobite Rebellion collection, made by John Jenkins.
Set JR-16 British Grenadier & Highlander with Two-Handed Sword.
The Jacobite Highlanders in this series got to be the finest work John has put out to date.
Top Quality painting and detail on the rather challenging patterns.
Happy Collecting!
Konrad

Great get, Konrad. I've said before and I'll say it again, John's Jacobite Hielanders are the best figures on the market. ^&cool

I just won an ebay auction for this wonderful CJB model of a 22kw army field generator set on a Tasker trailer, which came with a standing figure of a corporal with a clipboard and a pen:

Something different from the TS world, but how important these things are in real life ! Lights, Medical Tents, etc.... Very neat.

One of the gentlemen on this form, JonnyBach, posted on the Heco Tinplate Models thread about how he had operated one of these generators while in the Army Signals Corps, including a funny story about heating up water on the exhaust pipe, and a pig of a sergeant pulling rank and grabbing their hot water to impress the officers. I think you might get a kick out of it, so take a look if you get a chance . . . :wink2:
