What was the Delhi Durbar 1903? (2 Viewers)

Last post about the new sets before Monday, when I'll do the official announcement. Along with the state elephant of Karauli and its guards and musicians, I'll be releasing two Bahawalpur sets, to complete the already released elephant and guards for that state.

This is a Gertrude Bell's photograph. It was taken outside the Amphitheatre on January 7, while the states were waiting outside the theater for their turn to parade. This is the infantry of Bahawalpur, and the military band of the state. I fell in love with them and I decided to make them. Here are the masters for both.

I can tell you that they look superb. You'll see them on Monday :)

And here are a couple of black and white pictures of the Karauli elephant before the official release.

Hi Ana

Are there any better or closer photos of the massed bands? I am really interested in the mounted bands that were present at the review of the Army. I am trying to find some but they are elusive.

Dave

Dave,

There must surely be. As I am focused on the Indian Princes I haven't researched much on pictures of the Army Review. But there are definitely much more than the ones I could find about the Retainers Review.
Haven't payed much attention to those :( I'll let you know if I find any.

Regards,

Ana

Thanks Ana, I looked at Gertrude Bells archive pages and there were a few there but not any of the bands.
