This looks great. I generally prefer more elaborate handlers, but the red is just stunning.

Ana, these photos are great. You are a fantastic artist. I love the way you achieve such fine figurines. Anybody who has tried to do some sculpting will agree. Wonderfull "in Progress" shots and outstanding results. Thank you for sharing. Stay safe ...

Hello to all - I have decided which will be the next Delhi Durbar elephant, for September. It will be the State Elephant of Rampur.

The elephant's clothes are exquisite. The pattern is so beautiful. Can't wait until I get to paint it :)

The Nawab during the Delhi Durbar 1903 was Sir Sayyid Ali Khan Bahadur of Rampur.

RampurState was a 15 gun-salute princely state of British India. It came intoexistence on 7 October 1774 as a result of a treaty with Oudh. Followingindependence in 1947, Rampur State and other princely states of the area, suchas Benares and Tehri Garhwal were merged into the United Provinces. Rampurstate had its capital in Rampur city and its total area was 945 sq miles.

Stay well!
Ana

Hi again,

I realized that the picture of the State Elephant of Hill Tippera, set 490 that I posted on April has no driver in it. Shame on me! Here is the new photo, with the mahout as I should have done from the beginning. How can I have missed him. It is so cute!

This limited series elephant has been selling very well, as well as the Maler Kotla one (set 484). Only very few left of each one :)

Thanks!

Ana

I haven't had the time for downloading, editing and posting the pictures of the making process. They are still in my cell phone. I will try to post them soon. Sorry for that.

I won't be able to be at the Chicago show this time. Travel restrictions from my country, specially when reentering, are getting more and more complicated, even if our virus situation is much better now. I hope we can meet again at the show next year!

Take care,

Ana

Hello to all,

It's been some time since I've posted. I am very busy with the painting of the elephants and haven't find the time to think about the Durbar fans. My bad. Sorry for that.

I have decided about the next elephant. It will be the State Elephant of Cooch Behar
Cooch Beharsm.jpg

This is a state from the North Bengal region.
Durbar 5.jpg durbar 4.jpg
HH Maharaja Nripendra Narayan of Cooch Behar

The State Elephant of Cooch Behar walked beside the State Elephant of Nabha, behind Sikkim and Bahawalpur and in front of Hill Tippera and Jind.

I also wanted to wish you a beautiful and peaceful Christmas. And the very best for 2022.

Take care,

Ana
