Neat thread, here's my 1st K&C set, the drug that started the metal collecting for me :), great little set, and of course got to love the price!!!! the detail in the Para was and still is very well done, love the face paint, and smoking a frog at that.

my first king and country figures are john fords us cavalry figures.i love the sculptings and painting with the shades in it.3 Buffalo soldiers are underway and 2 old Texas rangers are comming.next month i will go to collect the indians.i hope andy makes some more of those classic us cavalry soldiers with those uniforms.lets hope they come in the future.best ronald.

My first set was the RN Royal navy and Nelson figures, bought 2 of each, mail order and I sent a cheque to K & C UK when they were based near Portsmouth England. I bought it following receiving a leaflet which looked as if it had been photocopied, I still have the leaflet somewhere. Plus I still have the figures, all of the RN and Nelson figures.

First King & Country figures the first 7 of the Australian Light Horse series and will be the last figures I ever part with.

Started in 2007 with the Ancient Egypt series and the rest is history. Robin.

My first was NA077 The Duke of Wellington. My K&C collection, mostly Napoleonics, has only grown since then!

Hullo Guys,
I am truly proud and, at the same time, humbled by your first K&C 'Buys'....From the very earliest beginnings of the company I basically always wanted to make the kinds of toy soldiers I always wanted as a kid BUT were not available back then OR if they were available my Mum'n'Dad could not afford!!!

Well, many years later, Yours truly and K&C are still making the toy soldiers that I always wanted as a kid AND fortunately for us and I hope many of you we both like many of the same things...Long may it and K&C continue...

Very best wishes to one and all and...as per usual...happy collecting! Andy.
