What Was Your First King & Country Set (1 Viewer)

my first sets were bought in 1995 at Chicago on sunday. as I was leaving the show via the last hallway on the way out I bumped into andy and after his sales pitch he had my imagination going. so I went from collecting and painting 20mm wwII to Arnhem matte 54mm WWII. I left with all the paras and the ambulance jeep. Of course this led to many many countless good times collecting as well as making great friends along the way. I hope everybody can make it to Chicago. see you there greg

In my case, it was a little over 10 years ago when I saw AK030 panzer II with the Italian soldiers. Just too much to resist...
I live in Brazil and had no place to go and see, touch and feel a K&C product at the time.
In those days I was collecting Forces of Valor and 21st. Century 1/32's and have been watching K&C items on the internet for some time, but thought that shifting to 1/30 would be a bad idea, not to mention the far superior cost. However, once I saw that set I decided to take the risk and see what they were like. Needless to say, I was instantly in love...but still reluctant.
The fact is that it took me another 2 years to dive in completely and start boxing all my 1/32’s. That happened when I saw LW004SL Messerschmitt Me 163 Komet. Bought it with a bunch of other LW figures, and never stopped collecting K&C WWII ever since.

Sentaapua, AK Panzer II. Pretty nice choice. Hoping that Grey one pops up again soon

Bill Hurlbutt had the K&C Authorized Dealer Status in Chicago in the late 1990`s ,and he was a client of mine when I was in the Investment business in Chicago! We became good friends ,and one day I put on the movie "A Bridge To Far",and I picked up the phone and said "Hey BILL"! "HOW MUCH ARNHEM HAVE YOU GOT" HAHAHA! The rest is History. I became a K&C dealer 1 0ctober 2000. By the way I just finished attending my 35th OTSN/CTSS show! It`s been a very Special Voyage!
