hi guys, I am new here and just began to collecting the figures, I don't know the difference between Thomas Gunn Miniature and Figarti, they seems likes the same to me, both quality and price. So what do you think? thanks

I mix 3 brands ( K&C). Each has the qualities. The difference is masked in a diorama.
Many figurines are not needed to make beautiful one decorations(sets).
regards

This question has been coming up enough that it does make me wonder whether we are being trolled, but i will go with the benefit of the doubt.

I am of the camp that is particular in their mixing and matching. I find stylistic and historical accuracy differences matter to me, but that is my opinion and do not believe it is the only way to practice this hobby. I just offer it as my particular style.

This means that to me TGM and Figarti are not great matches the way I collect. I prefer to mix TGM with King and Country, and mix Figarti vehicles with First Legion figures and vehicles.

Stylistically, I find TGM figures are very different from Figarti. I have only purchased one Figarti figure set and found they are not to my taste. I really like TGM's figures, especially the way the take chances on niches and less standard releases.

For vehicles, I notice the scale and weathering discrepancies between the two manufacturers so I prefer not to mix them together.

That's all folks,

Larry

It all depends on the perspective if you look at cost TGM is far less in price but resale value Figarti holds more value and is more expensive . IMO Figarti leads in planes and vehicles I remember I have asked Andy several times over the years about producing a Stuka which Figarti has done a few times , K&C has not TGM has not , as a seller on E - Bay TGM does not have the resale value of Figarti or K&C but with anything every one has there own perspective and preference , each Manufacturer has there own style and it just comes down to what the collector is looking for .

The paint flakes on one and the other does not!

I find the quality and accuracy of Figarti and Thomas Gunn to be very close. A comparison of the color accuracy and quality of application on the Figarti Jagdpanzer IV and the Thomas Gunn Normandy Hetzer are superb. The camo patterns excel any that have been done to date by other manufacturers. Both Figarti and Thomas Gunn need to improve their figures; which are IMHO 4 & 5 in a ranking of the top five 60MM manufacturers!

I do not own any Figarti , got scared off by all the flaking paint threads...Never had a single problem with a K&C AFV in twenty years...But i recently purchased TGM...
TGM IMHO knocked the ball out of the park on their Hetzer release...I bought the Winter version , & i liked it so much...i had to track down the Normandy version , i was a little late to the party with these but none the less rectified that & got them both...I really only buy K&C figures , although i do own a set of Conte & Britains & a few DelPrado...
Not to mention the price point of TGM is reasonable...@ $145 for the Hetzer...! Was well worth it...

Figarti has much better detail and weathering....More realism.... and will appeal to the modeler 1:30th.....Goes great with FL also 1:30th......TGM will work with K/C if that's the style you prefer....IMHO

True Wayne,, There have been some slight but noticeable scale issues lately with FL but for the most part they are still the most accurate and consistent 1:30th scale TS maker out there today. The deviation is slight but noticeable between the FJ's, Para's and SS Waffen....Still I would have to say that they are undoubtedly the best match for Figarti AFV's both in scale and in style.IMO
