Where are NEW CONTE CIVIL WAR Figures ?? (2 Viewers)

I have no plans to order these, but if someone wanted too who is even a Conte dealer anymore besides Conteco themselves ? He whacked all of dealers I would even buy from. I will never order directly from Conte again. Has The Lt. been made a dealer ? :) This whole thread wreaks of Payola if you ask me.

I guess you are entitled to your opinion, but I think you're pretty far off base. This thread has a lot of people excited about some new figures, and the Lt. is well within his rights to sing their praises without being accused of collusion or anything.

Well - To set the record straight - I make my money in the Government Relations world ... which pays a little bit more than selling Toy Soldiers.

I got an email and phone call from RC while I was in Paris and the figures are ready to ship - you can call Conte direct and place orders. I plan to buy all of the new ACW figures for my collection.

I have always greatly appreciated the Conte figures from over the years - RC has always made great action figures in my opinion - I haven't liked everything they have done - but, appreciated many of the figures from the Amer. Rev & ACW.

I am looking forward to Conte's return in the Toy Soldier World. :D

Actually, given the daily like clockwork posting of a new picture every day of the Lt's work and his advanced releases of conte figures I just assumed that he was in a public relations position with the company. I don't think that's a bad thing. And assuming it is the case he certainly does a good job of keeping the company in the forefront. Again, a new picture every day, a new discussion, an occasional update. If there is no pay for what he does and he is merely a devote fan, he is being taken advantage of. Particularly for the abuse he sometimes has to take against the company. He certainly deserves to be recognized for his contribution to conte's company by them.

While you are entitled to your opinion. The LT is a well liked and respected member of the forum. I for one appreciate his willingness to help others and the tenacity, passion, and camaraderie that he brings to the table.

Jay thank you for your kind words and concern but there's no way I feel I've been taken advantage of or having been. I've done the same for WBritain when they introduce the Zulu War series by being the first in more times than I can remember to post a new set or set of figures I've received well before others and continue to do so today and haven't felt I've been taken advantage of by them. There's rarely been a day i've miss posting a photos of my WB Zulu War figures. That said the reward I've gotten from all of this is receiving a nice selection of Zulu War figures from WBritain and the finest of Conte's figures done to date. By the way I've been rewarded along with others with photos of mine posted to Conte's web site and yes I am a devote fan of his, he introduce me to the world of Toy Soldier with his Zulu War Pay Sets an is the major reasons I collect toy soldiers from that era ....The Lt.

You are welcome. I really do enjoy your set ups and pictures.

Now that's funny Britfarmer. I agree Zulu morning afternoon and night, love the topic too. If anyone were to pay attention over the last few years they would know that the Lt. is a genuinely nice guy and is a very big fan of the Zulu War in particular Rorkes Drift.
I've noticed several different manufacturers in his dioramas and prior to the newest Conte Zulu War figures. Hey, he likes his Zulu War figures and as far as I have seen isn't a rabble rouser, internet sniper or instigator around here. So to go after him is in my opinion beyond the pale.

theLt.

mostly displays his pictures under Britain Zulu War, Conte Zulu and Trophy Zulu...and also some under "Dioramas"...

if you feel..."he just over does it"...they are easy enough for you to avoid...

just don't click on them...

there is a large following of the Zulu era on this thread...and in the toy soldier industry...

I personally have a Rorke's Drift diorama and enjoy Joe's activities and photos every morning...

I don't collect WWII...but I like to look at their photos and get ideas for groundwork, props and backdrops...anything I can learn to help me display my figures...

I look forward to Joe's work everyday...

I never thought I would hear a toy soldier forum member object to another collector posting photos...

keep them coming Papa Z...

The LT is about the nicest bloke in this hobby he is a friend and has been a great insperation to me over the years.
To say he over does it?:confused:......Keep posting Lt and above all keep having fun.

...As for the Lt I feel he just over does it......

Whilst I would agree to this statement in relation to a selected few on here, I strongly disagree in this instance. The Lt is passionate about his Zulus and I see no harm in that - for many reasons. I can also see why he likes Conte products...Lt, just go on with your photos and stories :)

The Lt.loves his Zulus no matter who makes them. The Zulu War is his passion so let him enjoy himself. As for Conte I too became interested in the 54mm side of the hobby because of Conte and wouldn't buy anything but Conte in the first couple years that I collected.I would be lying if I said That I haven't been disappointed in the last few years but I hope he rises again because at his best he's there with the top guys.
