Now that Figarti released it's Stuka, how long before KC releases their version? Do you think the price will be similar to the $289 Figarti is charging? Also does Figarti use the same material to make their planes?

From everything that I know the hold up with the Stuka is deciding on an alternate material other than polystone as the wing design poses some durability issues. Metal was mentioned last year, but what comes out of all of this is yet to be determined. This year ......^&confuse

Graeme,

Figarti makes theirs out of polyurethane.

no idea how much it will cost. I could try to guess but we are all always way off the mark

With Figarti already out with one and could possibly do a different camo, and JJD about to produce one, it's possible K&C may not do one. Because of the size, it probably would be expensive if they did one.

I think it would still sell as some people only collect K&C

Me too, I now have the Typhoon, Spitfire, FW190 and Hurricane , they are all excellent releases and I've no doubt the Stuka will continue this trend,. For me the only problem with the poly warbirds is the space they take up, but I've no doubt when I see the Stuka it'll be a case of 'Ok, then, Just one more'!^&grin

Now your arguing with yourself....................^&grin

won't be surprised if K&C still does one.they will have to get around to beating the fixation on polystone if they are as I cannot see how it could be done in that medium or, it would have been out long ago. Will it be expensive?? yes, but, do you call Figarti's cheap?? not so sure. figarti will more than likely do a winter version soon and, as mentioned JJD will do some very soon and, did mention desert BOB or thereabouts and, a SCW version.

I mentioned IMO that metal would not be a consideration and, I stand by that. If it came out in metal and, was cheaper than some of the warbirds in poly there would be a right storm about why polystone warbirds were more expensive and everything that would come from that.

K&C popped out the russian releases soon and we have been flooded with T-34's of various colours and types so, may as well, if they can, chuck a stuka in the mix.

I hope they go ahead and do it, despite Figarti's brilliant release of a JU-87G (I ordered one) and JJD's apparently soon to be released version (the prototype pictures I saw appear to be of a JU-87A-2 or B). There are many variants of the JU-87 with different painting patterns and versions, so I'm sure I will buy a K&C Stuka if its released, and I'm also sure it will be a must-have. If on one hand of course it won't be a virgin market anymore, on the other they may come up with variants/versions that will be attractive and yet unproduced, with their unique quality/style and add-on figures.

I really hope if they do make one its the Battle of Britain version, although it suffered badly during the Battle its still a very iconic weapon of that Battle^&cool

(If not B.O.B then the Desert version would be welcome{bravo}})

Good point about switching materials from polystone - at least for the larger aircraft. But I think whether K&C will do a Stuka may depend on how far along they are on producing wings that size. If they aren't too far along, they may just stop and not do one.

As for other materials than polystone, I would have to think that K&C is looking at other materials to increase detail and reduce production costs on the scale they produce models. Their production of a single AFV probably exceeds the total production of an AFV by Figarti, CS, FL and TGM. It's a different scale of production.

I wish there was some official word on KC plans for the model. If they decide to scratch it, I'd like to know sooner rather than later so that I can get the Figarti or JJD version instead. I don't have tons of money or space so one model will suit me fine.

Graeme..

I would think you should just buy one of the ones that will come soon. Rumours are abound that JJD will have some at London. Mind, we know what rumours are but, they did show a prototype last time. It would be nice to know if they are planning it or not but, saying know would make collectors just buy other manufacturers and, not hanging back like yourself thinking they may do one sometime.

A few have said to me they are awaiting the JJD rather than figarti as that was too specialised and can only be used in certain areas. It would be as you say, nice to know where they are at
