I'm curious as to why there hasn't been addition releases for the following fighting vehicles? The Hummel, the Grille and the Flak Panzer38.
At the very least a summertime version of the Hummel for either Kursk or Normandy.

I guess probably because Andy wants to make other vehicles before he revisits these, there are still many more AFV's to make in the future.

Yet he has made remakes of other AFVs such as an AK Panzer III and the Dodge Ambulance. Maybe the age of the original and it's size (1/32 vs 1/30) has some influence. Also the subject such as 3 full size 1/30 Tigers in the last 3 years.

But one never knows what thoughts dwell in the depths of the artistic mind. And there is a lot of choice what to produce and many AFVs have not been done at all.

I think the Hummer and the Grille about three to four (or five) years ago but didn't the Flak Panzer come out just a couple ago? Can't see the FP being re-made anytime soon.

Would actually love to see a Panzer 38(t), and vehicles based on that platform (Marder III), done to round out the vehicles. Wouldn't mind a Hetzer, as I missed the Bulge version.

Would be nice to see outside the comfort zone releases. Its pretty much standard across the whole hobby. AFV's that have not been done would keep the hobby fresh.

The Jagdtiger is a great step in the right direction lets see some flakpanzers and armoured cars nothing like this has either been released or been quite some time.

The Grille was late 2005. The Hummel and Flakpanzer were late 2006.

The recent releases of German fighting vehicles has sparked my interest and whilst I have not been happy about the new releases every month being dominated by WW11, I am starting to come round. Have 4 to date and will continue to look at any future European Axis vehicles. There are some older ones from several years ago that now I would have liked to have had, but perhaps they might have been 1:32 and not as well done, as the ones coming out now in 1:30. Cheers, Robin.

Assuming we're talking about the same thing, WS 103, that was announced in the April 2008 Dispatches, so it hasn't been retired that long.

I think these are the vehicles in question:

WS080
Gepard Flakpanzer 38(T)
$105.00
Released: 2006/10
Retired: 2008/05

WS079
Winter Hummel
$119.00
Released: 2006/10
Retired: 2008/02

BBG001
Grille SP Gun Set
$95.00
Released: 2005/09
Retired: 2007/09

Yes, you're right, I was thinking of something else. The Winter Hummel was well received at the time, the Flakpanzer a little less so. It's hard to know what Andy may reissue; there usually has to be a hue and cry for it.

I certainly would like to see some more German armoured cars in the future. Many of K&C's pieces are quite old now and need an update. I'd like to see a variety of 4, 6 and 8 wheeler versions, not just captured variants. Come to think of it I'd like to see some Commonwealth armoured cars too! In general the area of armoured cars has lots of potential in it especially for the 250 series. Because they are not big pieces the price would be reasonable too.
