I don't know if you need to see it in the flesh to have a preference for one type of base arrangement versus another. I much prefer the look of the planned WWI RHA set. There a few challenges for collectors in setting up most figures but I suspect they could have handled the fitting the traces correctly. It is a lovely piece but I must admit the single base is a large negative for me.

Have to agree with you Bill. The photo shows it all and I don't doubt that is a fabulous piece. I personally don't care for that massive base.

I very much like the base. It makes for very easy and safe handling, makes this wagon a display piece already only by itself. As of Ken's description it allowed for much more precise detail on the horses reigns and such since they never have to be handled anymore.
And at last, if this piece is used in a larger diorama, with the variety of groundwork, scenic mats and such out there, it will be very easy to cover it up.

Thanks Ken I know im very lucky! My dad comes with me every year so i always get 2 figures, & I was able to swap 1 of this years figures for an extra drummer & fifer I think I got a great deal!!!

Have you got any ideas for the next event figure yet?
