Winter Jagdpanther (2 Viewers)

A Jagdpanther is 129 inches wide less Schurtzen. The CS is 4.750 inches wide measured at the front. 4.75 into 129=27.15 or 1/27 scale. Measure the width of the K&C and divide into 129 for the scale. The Figarti Panther is 1/29.48 scale as is the Honor Bound.

Thanks

I don't have the K&C......could someone measure it

The KC Jagdpanther is a good 1/30. These were my measurements:

Converted 1/30 Jagdpanther Measurements

H - 90.3 mm
L w/ gun - 329 mm
L of chassis - 229 mm
W - 109 mm

King and Country Jagdpanther Measurements

H - 91 mm
L w/ gun - 331 mm
L of chassis - 230 mm
W - 109 mm

Granted measurements don't tell the exact tale, since discrepancies in the models can lead to confusion. For example, a glaring one to me on the TCS model is the ground clearance of the hull. The TCS Jagdpanther hull , like the TCS Panther hull, sits too low to the ground. This gives the false impression that it's height is an accurate 1/30. The HB Panther and KC Jagdpanther are much more accurate in this regard IMO. Additionally, hatches, access doors, gun barrel diameter, etc. are all larger on the TCS model giving for a larger impression.

Here's some comparison pics of the HB Panther (I dont have the HB Jagdpanther), KC Jagdpanther, and TCS Jagdpanther. While they are close, the TCS model definitely has a bulkier look to it. IT would be much more apparent if the chassis sat higher and had correct ground clearance. The TCS JP goes better with the larger figures from TCS, Thomas Gunn, KC, etc. The KC model works great with true 1/30 figures.

Both are very nice models. The TCS Jagdpanther is much more versatile though, since it has opening/closing hatches, removeable schurzen, and the damaged track option. It's also significantly cheaper. The TCS Jagdpanther is a great all-around model.

Thanks loads men.

So I will purchase it and put in th the FL Figures / K&C AFV formula.

It seems to be not too heavy on the mud either.

My TCS will go with the TCS AFV / TGM - K&C - FIGARTI figure formula.

Now we have the new Britains 1/32nd formula to work with, which was recently brought up.

A significant deviaton exists between Joe's width measurement of 4.5 inches and Alex's measurment of 4.3 inches(109MM) which results in a scale varience of 30-28.66=1.34; which may be attributed to manufacturing differences with different runs of polystone. Regards

Yep, detailed tracks from TCS, Figarti etc. I think finally forced KC to clean up their tracks. As you can see, the KC Jagdpanther tracks are pretty clean. The recent KC Panzer IV tracks are also very clean with minimal "mud."

You will not be disappointed in the KC Jagdpanther vehicle. It has a great paint job as well, looks very historically accurate with the color shades IMO. The figures, on the other hand, are horrible.

I agree it looks very nice and the early mantlet diferentiates it from the competition. A shame about the figures. I have one of the K&C Panzer Kommander half figure sets and they are very well done. I use them with my 1/24 scale VS tank King Tiger and a 1/24 Bandai model King Tiger with the Krupp (Porsche) turret with full interior detail. I consider them one of K&C's best figure sets. Regards
