That is a superb sherman tank. Really like the chicken wire mesh for camo only ever seen that on german AFV's but, looks great. HB are still, for me the company who made the best AFV's.

Very nice photos. I agree that the foliage really adds a nice touch.

Sherman trivia - most of the "chicken wire" was added in a 12th Army Group program. The specified mesh was a British item - Sommerfield Airfield Landing Mat. The US Army didn't have much unit painting like the Germans, rather they used Engineer Camouflage Battalions to do the addition of the wire (spot welded to lengths of rebar that had been welded to the tanks' sides) and pattern painting (black-over-OD was the standard for ETOUSA). Not all the tanks got the camo fit, but quite a few did starting around the time of the breakout from Normandy.

Thanks for the info, Gary! I should have known you would have it at your fingertips.:wink2:

Beautiful Shermans! I am also a HB fan, and lucky enough to have a few of their AFV's, but this is the first time I've seen these 2! Thanks for posting the pics!

I managed to pick up this Honour Bound Winter Sherman, displayed with some HB Sherman Winter Tank Riders and a GI Medical Team:

Excellent pick up Louis, you told me you got it at the CTSS but unfortunately I didn't see it in the flesh.

Here's a couple of more photos, with the winter tank riders on and around the winter Sherman on a Hudson & Allen Winter diorama, and another photo with the Gold Edition Sherman, Sherman with Gold Edition Foliage Camouflage and the amphibious Jeep on a Hudson & Allen Normandy diorama, with some Honour Bound G.I.'s I recently picked up from good friend Mark (Beaufighter):

Louis,

Great pictures! I wish that Honour Bound was still making tank models. They certainly were trendsetters during their heyday!
