Wittman Tiger With Knights Cross and Add On Crew (1 Viewer)

.....the figures made by these manufactures (specifically CS, KC, and TGM), are a bit larger than 1/30 scale, closer to 1/28. This has been the figure size for some time even though the vehicles are 1/30. The new CS Tiger #007, is CS making a Tiger the correct scale to fit the figures, it is therefore a little larger than their older 1/30 Tiger and a bit larger than other makers 1/30 Tigers. The new CS Tiger is the first vehicle correctly scaled to all the current 1/28 figures that are on the market. Al

Thanks very much there, friend. Now you mention it, I recall reading somewhere on the CS site, or in one of their newsletters, the self-same thing not long before I ordered it!

The crew look great with the tank, no question, but the tank, sadly, looks a little odd displayed alongside others that aren't the same size. It will have to sit all alone on a shelf until CS make some other vehicles to the same 'true' scale as the figures, if they ever intend to :wink2:

Toodles, me ducks! :D

It is true that the new CS Tiger will not display with past 1/30 Tigers, but this is of no importance to me. It is a brilliant stand alone piece (if need be) that looks massive (as it should) alongside the figures. I now have 5 Tiger 1's and 3 Tiger II's and this new "oversize" Tiger is the best looking of the bunch, in appearance, size, and presence. Easily my favorite tank model. ^&grin -- Al

I whole heartedly agree, it is a very nice model, certainly a big beastie!! :eek: I want some of the leaping tankers now to display on the back of it!! {sm4}

Same scaled 1/30th vehicles: Panther, PzKfw IV, Wespe, Steyr, King Tiger, Sherman--they all match up!:)

Cheers!

Hi Bri :rolleyes2:{sm4}

Are you saying that all of the above vehicles have been made to the same scale as the new 007 Tiger, ie 1/28, in keeping with the 'oversized' figures? ^&confuse. If so, that sounds right. I have one of the Panthers and the new Tiger looks quite good alongside that :)

A resounding yes! That's what I've been trying to say all along. The 1/30th line is right sized for all your figures.

Brian
