WOW Gordon on Ebay (1 Viewer)

Hi Martyn: I must have the other version. Look at photo 33 in my album three if you are interested. He has a lighter uniform, is turned in the saddle some and is on a brown horse.

Hi Tommy

Is this the picture?

Cheers

Martyn: Yes, first row of camels, third figure from the front. This is in my office so I will bring it home and photograph and post.

Thanks Tommy I look forward to seeing the picture.

Hi Martyn,

Do you know if Trophy made a set of Kitchener mounted on a camel ?

Many Thanks, Raymond.:)

Very nice, thanks Tommy.

That is the Dragon Crest version from 2003, I've found this picture Joe (the Lt.) posted awhile back.

Thanks Martyn. I also found one like your version.

Hi Tommy

I didn't think that Trophy did a Gordon on horseback only Kitchener.

Since finding the one pictured I've managed to find a later version of Gordon on his camel, slightly different paint job to the camel

Martyn:)

Here are the two versions of Gordon I now have

I think I prefer the one on the right but beggars can't be choosers :D:D Very nice Martyn.

Martyn,
I think that one on the right is much better. These are obviously the same casting painted by two different painters.

Hi Al

I think the one on the right could be Dragon Crest going by the box;)

Hi Martyn: Do you see much difference in price between a Trophy set or figure and a Dragon Crest one? I haven't noticed that.

IMHO Dragon Crest sets always had a better paint work and command the higher prices. However it hard to tell because they are rarely seen for sale.

Hi Tommy and Al

Price wise I haven't seen much difference at all.

Dragon Crest sets are rarely advertised as such, they usually go under the Trophy banner which by rights they should.

The paint work changed through the years, the earlier Trophy sets have the traditional toy soldier finish.

The Gordon set is a very hard one to find in either Trophy or DC ;)

As you have probably gathered I love 'em all:D:D

Cheers

Martyn:)
