Anybody get the new KC Tiger I yet? Is it the same size as the Tunisan Tiger or smaller like the earlier Tigers? What is your overall impression of the piece? Thanks for responding. Photos would be appreciated.

According to K&C's website, it's a "true" 1/30th scale. I'm interested in this tank and would also like some reviews.

One can find numerous references online to plastic models, artist's prints, and period b/w photos of "S33".

Thomas Jentz's "Tigers at the Front" is an excellent reference book, depicting an impressive collection of photos from this unit, including S33. The picture database on Das Bundesarchiv website is another excellent resource for Tiger photos - search the word "Tiger" and you come with almost 200 photos of Tigers from N. Africa to Normandy:

The smaller Tiger is the older one, which is retired..The 2 larger ones are 1/30..Michael

that's an inverted chinese character of "Fu" which means good fortune or luck.
a chinese word of inverted is "Duo" which has similar sound
as the chinese word for "arrive". So for the word "Fu" inverted, it can be described as "Fu Duo" and sounds the same as "Fortune (or Luck ) comes"

its a superstitious/good luck charm i guess.

Supposedly, the Chinese good luck symbol on the tank was given to the tank commander by his girlfriend who was the daughter of a German diplomat to China) and the TIKI written on the tank is an acronym for her name - Theresa-Katrin.

I am sure everyone may know of these books but, if you are interested in the SS units at Kursk and Tigers etc vol1 through to 6 about the ss at kursk by Remy Sezzano are absolutley invaluable.
