"its to good a set to sell" . That's debatable! Much of the newer items on the market are 10 times better!

Daruss - I think you're probably right about more recent models being better but, like Wayne, I couldn't sell my WS070. If I didn't put anyone's life in peril, it would be one of those possessions I'd try and take if my home was on-fire.

What I really like about the set is how some of the crew are having a break and getting on with life necessities like eating and others are still on edge. It's a little mundane and casual but tense at the same time and I like that.

I'd like K&C to do more soldiers relaxing, eating, reading the paper, washing - doing the everyday things even soldiers have to do while not fighting the enemy.

Great pictures Wayne !!! The Tiger is a bit smaller than the newer issues, but I do not think we will ever see another Tank issued with 5 figures. When I first started collecting K&C in 2006 , this tank was sold out. But I was fortunate to find one at a resonable price, and I will never sell this K&C Classic Winter Tiger. Andy

It's the #1 model in my entire collection. In spite of it's flaws, it more than makes up for them in character and it is the model that gets the most good comments from visitors who see the collection including from people who aren't collectors.

agreed. outside the super aryan image, german soldiers do normal mundane stuffs as well. :)

I like the set but, take away the crew and say K&C had released it with two or three similar to the camo version wittmans last tiger and, I don't think it would be anywhere near as popular.

For me, its definately the crew that makes the set as from Tunisian onwards they are better design size and detailed tigers

Very nice model. I don't own one but I sure wouldn't mind having the excellent crew for my Snow Tiger.^&grin Come to think of it, I could always use another Tiger, too.^&grin -- Al

I agree with you guys, it's the crew that makes this model popular. I had the chance to get this one for a very good price when I first started collecting K&C but passed it on because back then decided only collecting D-day range :redface2:

Hello All.... I got my WS070(SL) last year online without the original box for $250.00
It still came in a later version K&C Tiger box which is better than nothing I guess.
This Tank set definately is a stand out piece !!!! Tough act to copy.

It is a nice piece or armour but again too white and too neat for my liking
Guy:smile2:

This one stays around the top of my K&C list, mainly because of the crew. I probably won't sell either.

I think the crew definitely makes it a good piece but I liked it even without them. I think it's just a great piece in and of itself.

Wayne...

Probably, the best AFV released IMO in the 1/30th hobby was the bergpanther and, it goes well with the SL crew
