Ws077 (1 Viewer)

WS77 is the vehicle that got me into this accursed hobby {sm2} and away from 1/6th scale.

The yellow (ws077) looks a bit bright to me or may be the flash ?

It's definitely a brighter yellow than the King Tiger. The lighting may be enhancing it though. It is much the same yellow as the Panther that came out around the same time (two Panthers ago that is). It could use some weathering

I have one of these listed on eBay with an opening bid at original retail if anybody is interested.

My signature line has a link to my current listings on eBay.

As requested by "Howard"

Seems you have the command element for Howard's Tiger platoon. The hood of the 251 is screaming out to me for a giant swastika to be pained on it

Mark mate,
I had the same thoughts that the front just needed something to top it off. Maybe a air recognition flag of even a coil of barbed wire. This big AK dio is starting to come together nicely with the help of the master painter "Mr. John (Obee) O'Brien" Many thanks cobber.
Cheers Howard

PS Thanks Wayne for posting Obee's photos.

Thanks for the kind words about the vehicles....

Wayne loaned me Rommel's vehicle so I could have something to copy as far as paint colour and the weathering, because I needed to match these 2 vehicles to fit into Howards forthcoming diorama and i don't have any such figures in my collection.

He also left a couple of AK troops, who had some 'battle damage' (paint chips), in my 'surgery' and good news they have now fully recovered and in first class inspection order now.

Thanks Wayne !

regards,

John

Sorry I don't have a working scanner at the moment, but if you have Panzer Colors...Vol.2 pge 70 has a cross on the hood of von Arnim's 251 and Vol. 3 pg 22 has a swastika painted on a PSW222, for inspiration. I figure it would be easier than making a flag. tried that once, didn't pan out:redface2:
