Hello,

Thanks to post here, your oldest reference King and Country.
This will allow us to discover or rediscover the historical reference of the brand K&C.

My Oldest:

Mine is a matte painted British Royal Marine,
at attention, blue uniform with white pith helmet, SA80 rifle
and given to me about 10 years ago.

Sorry, but I don't know his code number, but maybe some will enlighten me?

John

If it's Glossy or Matte, Glossy Seaforths from the early 80s, if it's Matte, then it's either a figure from WS 01, Machine Gun Team, or Hitler, LAH 05.

I have all of the earliest sets released in June, 1984, when K&C first opened, and depicted in the first advertisements and flyers from 1984.

I have had matte KC from the late 90's but those have been traded off, so the oldest KC that I currently own are WS009 (SS tank riders) and WS026 (Tiger I, turret # white 131). Both are from 2001, I believe. The tank is so marked, the figures may be earlier. -- Al

I have been on the constant lookout for AWI so I have managed to dig up a good firing line of BR01's and on the other side of the fence AR01's . Not sure of the dates or release of those guys.

Then for the Afrika Korps, I have AK 02, AK04 and then AK11 & AK 13.

I just sent Brad 6 photos of the earliest Glossy figures . . . :wink2:

Did you have to go down that road? Of course they don't exist, except in Louis' imagination and a brochure, but Brad is a genius with photoshop ^&grin

Yes, I am a genius. There really is no Lawrence Lo but Louis and I have made him real ^&grin

I discovered K&C not so long ago, so my oldest sets date back to 2004
like: D-Day paratrooper set. (DD 046)
Then I have a whole bunch of figurines released in 2005
(BBA 010/DD038 etc ....)

Hey, I am a figment of my own imagination and don't need the two of you to prove it. Now, get back to work and upload those photos Louis sent you or he will keep pestering you and then you will wish Louis was not real ^&grin
