I understand the gun is not far now from release. If the base is now divided with a separate gun, which I think has occurred, it would be beneficial for Britain's to update their site to reflect the correct photo image of how it now stands, to avoid the obvious back lash from collectors. Cheers, Robin.

Looks like a January release, guess it will be Christmas in January at this household then :)

This production issue I feel is going to work out very nicely in the end, as the separate 7 pounder gun will fit with it's base snug up against the rear of limber suggesting all one piece and than can be detached allowing just the horses/limber to be displayed. So two different poses. If the Zulu's were not attached to the riders I would consider a second set, but at the cost glad they are. Cannot wait. Cheers, Robin.

Hi Guys,
I thought some of you might appreciate some early comments on the Zulu Gun limber set as I have already received and sold my pre ordered sets of this nice item.

My order was sent to me by Fedex direct from China whereas I believe the rest are still on their way to Britains via sea.

Firstly I admit to having some concerns over the base issue that was mentioned previously on this forum plus the possibility of damage to such a big set. These concerns have proved to be unfounded based on what I have seen and on customer feedback.

I received 4 sets. Two of those went mail order (one about 1,000 km and the other 2,000 km - both by road in just their Britains outer box as supplied). I checked them OK before I sent these two and both collectors contacted me today to say recieved in good condition. Both very pleased with the item and particularly commented on the good packing (ie. similar to Nile Gun Boat).

One of the other sets has been picked up by a shop customer and no problems with that one as checked together in the shop. The other has not been picked up yet but I have checked it and is also in good condition.

The base that goes under the artillery piece is a seperate item and is underneath the main set. None of the 3 collectors who have got them had any issues with the way the base has been done.

In view of the size and value I would suggest dealers do a check before sending but from what I have seen should be no problems. If it can survive long road trips at the busiest postal time of the year then it is testimony to the quality and design of the set and the delay to sort the base has been worthwhile.

Those who have an interest in buying this set (including dealers {sm4}) might find this information useful.

Regards and Merry Christmas to all Zulu fans.
Brett

Any word on when these sets will be availbale in the states.

Hi All,
While going over the new catalog contents with Richard today he mentioned that the New ACW Fredericksburg figures arrived ahead of schedule along with the long awaited AZW gun team.
He said that the finial version of the gun and base was stellar and that they were already being shipped. Hopefully many of you will be adding this gun and limber set to your collection soon.
All the Best,
Ken Osen

I have a space in my display case waiting to be filled.{sm4}

Well my card has been charged !! So the gun is on its way, probably receive it Monday or Tuesday :) Can't wait.

A large parcel was waiting for me when I got home today {eek3} What a corker of a set !!!!!!! Amazing work WB, just love this set.

That's a very fine set up Robin. Due to commitments with other lines I've had to resist this set but thanks to you and the likes of the Lt, I can still enjoy it. Well done.

Very nice to hear from you, I must try to take a leaf out of your book and try to resist some future releases, this one has slowed me up financially, cheers, Robin.
