Thanks for the link Brad. I did Google the museum's site yesterday. A great collection. I read with interest the 5O Years of the Temple of Dendur at the museum.

I watched the 1978 version of Agatha Christie's "Death on the Nile" last night on Prime TV. A great cast of actors making up a great cast of characters. As a result I now have on order the figures of Hercule Poirot, Maria Van Schuyler, and Bowers .

Thanks Paddy. Yes it was a great movie. I know there was a 2022 re-make that I also plan to watch. My collecting blizgrieg is soon coming to an end. Older sets are getting harder to find and then there is the issue of pre and post tariff prices. But, with that said, it's been fun and has given me a much needed renewed interest in our hobby.

No doubt about classic movies are inspirational. Andy certainly draws his releases from them. The latest Death on the Nile is fairly good movie, mainly from the pyramid scenes anspect and of course Gal Gadot. Something intriguing around that neck of the woods, including Casablanca. All the figures fit well for the period 1920’s - 1930’s. Really like where Andy has headed with Ancient Egypt. Go Mike. Robin.

Though the 2004 David Suchet, "Death on thd Nile" is quiet good with some interesting location shots, and slso dtars David Soul, much changed from his younger days as Hutch, from thr tv cops shoe Starsky and Hutch, the Peter Ustinov version with David Niven is my own favourite.

During WW2 Peter Ustinov was Niven's batman, (Army Servant) and both starred in the flag waver film "The Way Ahead", which follows a platoon of recruits through training to their first taste of combat in North Africa, which for that part was filmed in newly liberated Algeria.

Gotta Luv everything about Gal Gadot. What I would like Andy to consider is revisiting all of the previous scenics (Spyinx, Obelisk, Statuary, etc.) but as archaeological ruins.

The David Suchet TV episode is my favourite version of Death on the Nile, David Soul was underrated as an actor IMO. The recent film version has more visual appeal than the others however becomes a victim to pointless PC with the change to black 'Otterbournes'.
