Discovering King Tutankhamun (2 Viewers)

Some of those photos remind me of the Egyptian wing at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. Well done Mike.

Thanks for the link Brad. I did Google the museum's site yesterday. A great collection. I read with interest the 5O Years of the Temple of Dendur at the museum.

Nice collection, great start.

Thanks Chris

Great scenes, I especially like the one with the mummy coming out-lol

THX Mike. No matter how fast you can run, the mummy always gets you!

You're off to a great start Mike! Love the set up so far. Can't wait to see how your display progresses.

Thank you very much Mark. Certainly a different subject for me to collect, but I'm glad I have started.

but do not look the sacred stone statue in the eyes for you shall awaken the ancient curse!

Love seeing your Ancient Egypt collection, Mike. Looks like you are certainly having fun with it!

I watched the 1978 version of Agatha Christie's "Death on the Nile" last night on Prime TV. A great cast of actors making up a great cast of characters. As a result I now have on order the figures of Hercule Poirot, Maria Van Schuyler, and Bowers 😂🤣.

Great movie. Great dio. I recommend more Agatha. She's an inspiration for archeological dig murders...
Your great scenes are coming quickly - excellent collecting well after the original releases.
Have fun!

Thanks Paddy. Yes it was a great movie. I know there was a 2022 re-make that I also plan to watch. My collecting blizgrieg is soon coming to an end. Older sets are getting harder to find and then there is the issue of pre and post tariff prices. But, with that said, it's been fun and has given me a much needed renewed interest in our hobby.

No doubt about classic movies are inspirational. Andy certainly draws his releases from them. The latest Death on the Nile is fairly good movie, mainly from the pyramid scenes anspect and of course Gal Gadot. Something intriguing around that neck of the woods, including Casablanca. All the figures fit well for the period 1920’s - 1930’s. Really like where Andy has headed with Ancient Egypt. Go Mike. Robin.

Great start to your Egyptian Collection Mike 👍🏻

Though the 2004 David Suchet, "Death on thd Nile" is quiet good with some interesting location shots, and slso dtars David Soul, much changed from his younger days as Hutch, from thr tv cops shoe Starsky and Hutch, the Peter Ustinov version with David Niven is my own favourite.

During WW2 Peter Ustinov was Niven's batman, (Army Servant) and both starred in the flag waver film "The Way Ahead", which follows a platoon of recruits through training to their first taste of combat in North Africa, which for that part was filmed in newly liberated Algeria.

Gotta Luv everything about Gal Gadot. What I would like Andy to consider is revisiting all of the previous scenics (Spyinx, Obelisk, Statuary, etc.) but as archaeological ruins.

THX Steve. I agree, the 1978 film with Ustinov, Niven, Mia Farrow, Maggie Smith, George Kennedy, Jack Ward, and others is my favorite too.

Still hoping Andy might release this statue which was first shown around 3 years ago. Robin.

I would certainly add that to my growing collection.

Fortunately my local model maker was able to cast some statues and them smash them for me 😀. Robin.

Now those statues are very cool 😎 and are exactly what I would like to see Andy consider making.

Robin, who makes the two figures in your photo that I've circled?
