Watched the new Naked Gun movie at the theatre the other day. It is suppose to be a spinoff of the original Leslie Nielson Naked Gun movies. I was always a great fan of the originals but this new one don't even come close. I watched one of the originals last night and I laughed out loud about every 5 minutes. The new movie hardly made me even smile. Some things you just can't duplicate.

I loved the classic Naked Gun movies, haven't seen the new version but not surprised it doesn't measure up, typical of recycled franchise films these days.

Funny you say that Oz, the remakes of 'Point Break' & 'Road House' come to mind......both terrible

Yeah mate, Hollywood has screwed most of the good old franchises, the new versions are poor woke imitations of classic cinema and pretty much why I rarely go to the cinema these days. The last movie I paid for at a cinema was 'Deadpool & Wolverine', which may say something about my level of 'maturity', but it's one of the funniest movies I've ever seen.

And don't get me started on 'The Rings of Power' with all the Black Elves, Hobbits, Dwarfs etc, no wonder it has lost so much money.

Most of the current woke issues is caused by the increased presence and influence of Females in all industries, they want to remove the issues that affect their Feminine Feelings.

Good luck with that long term, IMO People, especially Children should be educated in How to Cope with Issues in Life rather than try and Remove the Difficulties.

I posted about this when I saw the trailer, clearly the film has lived up to the hype!

Agree - it is easier and quicker to name remakes/reboots that were any good, the 2016 Magnificant 7 film was a good film and enjoyable.
