Sounds interesting, for us non old heads, what web site?;)

It's on the K & C web site and thank god they didn't use the goofy pictures I sent them. It looks like a great issue and I'm printing it out now.

Here is the cover for those who want a quick look. :D

I guess Andy did get around to writing that book but but in magazine form.

Well you guys in the collector are very lucky indeed.I've been an enthusiastic flag waver of K&C for years and would have loved to be part of it.

Rob,

I'm sure after he saw your poem, Andy is kicking himself for not asking you to contribute to the piece. Maybe he will do a running series where a collector writes an article in each future Collector Magazine, and if so I am sure you will get the nod soon.

Louis you are a gentleman indeed, thank you.:)

I've just finished reading every article and without hopefully offending anybody or trying to pander to Andrew, I found the most interesting articles were those by Laura McAllister and Helen Mok Sergeant.

Why? As an attorney for a large corporation who mostly writes and reviews agreements, I get in on the ground floor of many of our new products and can see how everything fits together: confidentiality agreements, manufacturing, advertising and public relation agreement. I get to see it from beginning to end. So, I know a little about business, enough to make me dangerous but not enough that I could actually run a business.

When I read those two articles, I could see the inspiration, dedication, vision and drive for King and Country and it quickly dawned on me that that vision comes a great deal from Ms. McAllister. Yes, "Andrew" is the man that makes it go, particularly on a day to day basis, but Ms. McAllister is the one (no insult intended Andy) who, probably not being involved in the day to day operation (I'll be corrected if I'm wrong) had, has and continues to have that overarching vision and the capacity to look ahead (years ahead), which you need in business. I always had the idea that Ms. McAllister was some sort of silent partner. Helen Mok Sergeant's article made this quite clear that this is not the case.

Great articles and fascinating insight into the K & C business.

I think it is fortuitous for the collectors that although they are no longer married, they are still a team.

Thanks again for some great articles.

We agree again, great articles.
Makes one proud to be a K&C collector!

An interesting collection of articles about an interesting company. It's a bit rainy and cold here atm and Pete's link to the magazine helped brighten up my day.

Of course the term 'cold' is relative, in SE Queensland it means you may need a long sleeved shirt if you go outside, the chances of any ice fishing aren't high ;)

Heh, too bad the CEOs of General Motors, Ford and Chrysler lacked this basic capacity. A high school student could have told them 8 years ago where oil prices were headed. Hasn't stopped the lot of them from raking in multi-million dollar salaries though while their employees get laid off and pay the price for their mistakes.

And isn't that a fact CS....:(:(
They make me sick - no offence.

Louis,
I have to confess that I was astonished and somewhat surprised that Rob wasn't invited to contribute to the landmark 25th aniversary edition. As we all know, Rob has been an enthusiast of K&C for some considerable time and is forever flying the flag for K&C.
I sincerly hope that he is invited to contribute his insights and humour in some future edition.

I would support that sentiment. Rob has been a great supporter of K and C on this forum.

No offence Damian, but I support your support for that sentiment. Rob is without a shadow of a doubt THE most enthusiastic K&C supporter on this forum.
No offence intended to those supporters of K&C on this forum who come just a smidgen behind Rob's support for K&C on this forum. No offence meant - mind.

Very Best and Gracious Regards
H
