Hi guys I was playing around and had a go at building my own Matt bases.A couple of photos of were I am at and note I have not finished them yet.You can make these very cheaply and what ever size you want.Just another idea to toss around.Simmo.

Wayne, I bought some from my local Spotlight store several weeks ago. Just ask the shop assistant if they have any 'Craft fur', they will know what you are talking about. They have rolls of it about 2 meters wide and it costs about $7 per linear meter, you can get it in a variety of colors.
 
Hey nice work Simmo.Really like the way you've created the tank tracks for the KT and Cromwell.Good to see people creating their own scenes,nice one,keep up the good work!.

im growing a beard waiting {Larrrrge pics} :D just kidding Simo nice stuff.
I pop into a Spotlight store myself lots of Felt Fabric to chose from makes great ground work.
 
looks like they would work except you would have to dye the color to a more realistic shade
