Any way hopefully all 3:cool:

I think one should consider the #'s of each being produced....with 750 of one version going around there will be lots of time to decide on it.

But a limited amount of time I think on the others considering their "limited" numbers....I don't think they'll be around for long..

On another note....generic planes have their place....especially if one would wish to have more than one of the same, in theater, plane to make a multi plane diorama...it would be so possible to do....just change the call # and Voila...

And considering the price point that TG's plane comes in at....a multi plane dio is quite reasonable....that is, if space isn't an issue :)

I've seen real pictures of White 7, 6 and 1 all together in Italy...what a sight that would make in 1/30 :eek::cool:

Ithink IXEC knows price mate but is keeping tight lipped:eek::eek:

Following on from IXEC's comments about buying a FW I suggest the following points also need to be considered :

750 of K&C being produced and I believe dealers will have these soon (next week ?).

K&C's most recent aircraft was the Mustang which soild out 600 at K&C very quickly (I note TF does not have it listed but could be available elsewhere).

K&C dealers and most regular collectors will have pre-ordered early in June before TG versions were announced. Some collectors buying 1, some buying 2 and some even all 3.

The latest version of K&C's The Collector has a 4 page supplement about the K&C FW190 which I guess are now being sent to collectors worldwide.

I am not sure about the comparison in the USA and UK etc but I do know the K&C FW is far more popular than the Mustang in Oz.

The price and expected arrival dates (I mean landed in overseas shops) of the TG versions are still unknown.

As a dealer I will be getting all three versions to sell and as the saying goes buy what you like. However those that wait for the TG version to compare in the flesh may find the K&C ones have already gone. Then again I could be wrong.

Just my opinon.

Regards
Brett

I saw the second K&C Hurricane listed (K&C Dealer Website) as limited to 200 sets-did this change somewhere along the marketing process? As I understand it, the first version was limited to 400 sets and the second version to 200 sets???

Thanks,
Marc

neither.
I'm not an airplane collector so I will be sticking to figures and armor.

Understandable..Gi546...quite understandable...:)

But what if an airplane did come along.....say, a ground attack version, flying about, strafing your armor with cannon fire, dropping cluster bombs on your troops....

What then.....

The first Hurricane was 400 and the second 200 don't see many well, none in the UK.

forgot to say will be getting all three as each have their own interest and, one of the best WWII aircraft so, its a no brainer.

Thanks for the verification. As for the three respective FW releases, I have changed my mind. As much as I love aircraft/warbirds, I will wait for a release(s) that I love. Out of decorum I will leave it at that. I trust there are some great future warbird releases on the horizon one of which is the Figarti Owl!

Detail of both planes undersides ,look at the detail of the under carriage wells ;)

Looks like the TGM has the better detail underside, any pictures of the top?

True. Also looks like the landing gear on the TGM is missing the inward rake, although that just may be the picture angle. The TGM definitely has more wheel well detail but the KC FW would seem to have more defined underwing detail such as rivets, shell ejection ports, etc. They both look good. -- Al

And who pays much attention to the underside anyway, I'm more interested in a topside comparo.

Both planes have the same level underside detail but K&C have highlighted it more with black paint

Considering that both are retailing for under $200, and before this, the only warbirds available in the hobby were the K&C Museum Quality warbirds north of $700, and, frankly, both look great to me, this seems like a win-win situation. As an airwar toy soldier collector, I just want to say thank you to both K&C and TGM for a great job at an affordable price.

I think it's premature to say that one has better detail than the other as we have very few photos yet of the TG version. If you measure the planes from the same camera to plane distance (e.g., the same degree of closeup), the level of detail looks comparable but a definitive answer won't be known until the TG has been released to the public.
