Andy ...thanks for producing the Ambulance and wounded figures. I have been waiting for someone to do this for a long time...Wow are we going to have fun doing some scenes with this stuff !!!

Hi Guys,

Thanks “Firebat” for your note of appreciation of our upcoming Ambulance and wounded figures… I look forward to seeing them in your dioramas.

Personally I’ve always loved ambulances… stretcher parties… wounded soldiers—Not in real life you understand, only in miniature. I think they enhance any battle type scenario plus give us all a wee bit of reality in our toy soldier/military miniature fantasies.

The Dodge Ambulance has been a personal favourite of mine since K&C’s earliest “Polystone Days”.

It was also one of the first U.S. Army vehicles we produced. Although that early model was a bit crude by today’s standards I think it’s still a great looking little vehicle. Here’s a photo of old and new together.

Thanks again Firebat and best wishes to one and all,

Andy C.

Now the Germans need a Ambulance.

These look superb don't they, I got my order in quick for the Bulge version as I don't think it will be around long, its going to make for a good diorama with that stretcher set.

Rob

Andy....Summer stretcher party please...and more medical oriented figures...we need more of that theme for our upcoming Mini-Series

I have a question on the BBA 37 ??

Is the SUMMER AMBULANCE going to be a 250 release - like the WINTER one ??

Anyone know ? It is not listed that way on the K&C site.

Capitalron....

I believe its a normal run the summer ambulance only the winter is limited to 250
Mitch

With only 250 of the winter version being made I hope the retailers will NOT ALLOW multiple purchases by the "speculators"

With all due respect, this is soo tiring.

My money is as good as yours!! If I am financially able to buy more than 1 then that is my business alone.

It is not for you or anyone else to decide how many I buy.

Vezzolf,
Should my dealer, Brett Williams, under your criteria stop me from buying the three EA57 Beford Trucks (Limited to 150) that I have on order and so much love to complete my Tobruk dio and resup my Matildas.
I really think your obsession with secondary sales has gone too far. I have never sold any of my K&C collection but I have in the past given away some multiples to collector mates who missed out on retired sets. They are good mates and I know they would appreciate them and not sell them on Ebay. Collecting between mates is about more than the holy dollar.
Have a good think about the matter and maybe we will talk about it in Chicago, if you attend.
Cheers Howard

It is ALWAYS TIRING !

I agree Vezzolf's obssession with the secondary market is incredibly boring as it comes up so frequently.
Obviously I am aware Howard is not a speculator.
In relation to speculators and the recent 250 series I would guess some buyers might be buying becuase it is likely these might have a better than usual resale value later on. None of my buyers would fit into the speculator category.
Those that are intertested to speculate have probably ordered extras from different dealers.
I guess we shall soon see on Ebay.
Regards
Brett
Now back to packing up Howard's convoy !!!

Howard, I am not opposed to collectors like yourself who are trying to set up a diorama...I am however opposed to the speculators who have an aggenda to the holy dollar....PS It is also very generous and kind of you to share with collectors who have missed out on a limited run item....Best regards Frank

I don't see the Winter Version Ambulance for sale on the Treefrog Website...Is it sold out already???

Must be Frank. Treefrog removes an item from their catalogue when it sells out. With these limited items if you want them, you have to be quick. When the Desert Austin was announced I was the phone with George of Minuteman within the hour.

Not surprised, I did the same as Brad and got in quick, can you imagine how quick the Winter Tiger will go?!

Rob

I am a little unsure what could be done to stop ''speculators'' from buying more than one of any set. I don't know if many buy loys of sets hoping to raise cash quick it may have happened in the past as sets were cheaper but, you really have to have some deep pockets to do this now and, make a profit regardless of whether its an SL or the new 250 range. If you do have that kind of money why do you need to buy up lots of K&C??

I think the market is strange at the moment and you really do not know what will sell well or not apart from some of the really old K&C which, IMO never tires in price or demand
