New Toy Soldier Manufacturer Seeking Production Manager (2 Viewers)

My my, some excellent "Ideas" in this thread!

Given your predilection for including any and all views as you create the new firm, Brett, you wont mind if I add a few more? Such as:
- Figures & Vehicles that are "expandable/shrinkable" so that any scale compatability issues can be tweaked by the collector according to individual needs
- Figures be anatomically correct, to ensure utmost realism and appropriate positioning
- Assurances with each piece that a collector can always sell back to the manufacturer at a guaranteed nice profit, whilst still ensuring that all pieces remain permanently active and available to new collectors at original list prices

lll try and come up with some other 'value adds'. In the meantime, keep up the good work!

Brett..

I made no comments about wizardry for or against it if one looks and I know you do. So, I do not know what that is all about. The only reference to it was when I said we are always told what a wizard business K&C are as in, wizard relating to good. Andy picked it up and then its ran. I am glad more think its fun but, on a forum about opinions I did not. That about it. Have ''fun''

Mitch, I would think even you would see the humor in this thread....Sammy

Forget about Gandalf, Harry Potter, Mickey Mouse et al, Brett, they aren't the guys who can pull this off for you. You need Sauron running things to really make this happen...which I guess would make you the Mouth of Sauron, so it's kismet anyway. :p

Fair enough folks. My first reaction just was not humour. Surprised at people always feeling the need to be rude!!!!!

Mitch - I agree with (the edited version of) Sammys post...this is a playful look at the anxieties of the past weeks.

Brad and Louis,

Our Research Department is good but they are having problems identifying Bill Lumbergh and Sergeant Hulka.
The important point is do they own any wooden warbirds or shock and awe items ?
Their obvious good sense of humour may be taken into consideration when deciding their affordability factor.

Louis, Mr Vader will be in touch regarding your Symposiums. He seems to think one a year is not enough and might be willing to overlook the fact you have a few warbirds and shock and awe items when determining your affordability factor. However you will still have a problem with the high loading factor for lawyers. You might want to consider joining the NYPD as Emergency Service personnel will be treated most favourably.

Regards
Brett

Brett,

Sergeant Hulka is the drill sergeant character from the comedy movie "Stripes" starring Bill Murray and John Candy. "Francis" is the character in the movie who calls himself "psycho" and tells everyone "if you call me Francis, I'll kill you. If you touch my stuff, I'll kill you. If any of you homos touch me, I'll kill you." That's where my quote, "Lighten up, Francis" comes in.

hi Louis,

Lets hear it for our new big toe, Sgt Hulka! Great movie filmed at my old stomping grounds Ft Knox. Great lines and this thread is a hoot! Tanks for the comic relief Brett!

And a classic that movie is, too. Sgt. Hulka, our big toe. "Blown up, Sir!" -- Al

And some scenes filmed here in good ol' Louisville! ^&cool Chris

Brett mate,
Can you put me down for a Dealership. I reckon I could sell heaps of cheap Stukas to a lot of blokes on this Forum. It would be like a circus. Roll up, roll up and get your $49.50 diecast Stukas. Buy two and I will throw in a blue and yellow bowser.^&grin^&grin
Great thread cobber. Keep up the good work. Some of these blokes need humouring.
Cheers Howard{bravo}}

Hi Guys,
As you can imagine I have been fairly busy in the past 24 hours. Regrettably there have been a number of problems and things are not looking good.

Santa Klaus has decided that rather than take care of our transportation arrangements he is now going to be a competitor. Apparently his elves have a low opinion of Wizard quality control. When they heard what adult Toy Soldier collectors would pay compared to children's parents they formed a union and are now setting up production.
They are thinking of cancelling Christmas as they will be so busy.

My highly paid Research Dept came back with their analysis of this forum and as some have realised it appears the views of the forum have become distorted. When searching key subject words it appears that the word Stuka is way ahead of all others. Naturally we are investigating further to see what has caused this. When recommending a new
series the R&D guys have put forward the suggestion of an SS Camel Corps charging against British Redcoats. It seems they used image scanning techniques and red soldier images outnumber all others combined by several times (particularly in the Britains and Conte sections). The SS is high priority as it seems that each time they are mentioned there is great interest. As we all know camels are popular so I thought that made sense. I think I am going to have to sack my R&D team.

Finding Wizards is also proving to be a problem. As you are probably aware they have previously only been employed in the movie industry. However since they were mentioned on this forum it appears some have realised there might be other uses for Wizards. The Wizard of Oz is apparently now working in the Australian Prime Ministers Office and Merlin and Harry Potter are both soon to meet with Rupert Murdoch and the Greek Prime Minister.

Matt mentioned Sauron. Whilst he likes to keep a low profile he is currently flying between his employers in North Korea, Libya and Zimbabwe. He is fairly busy.

Naturally competitors who read this forum have picked up on my idea and as we speak one is in negotiation with a cheap discount Wizard in China who is willing to undercut all other Wizards. Another is soon to meet with a B grade Witch Doctor in the Congo.

However the really bad news is my Marketing and Complaints Manager Darth Vader has flown over to New Zealand with my business plan and joined forces with Peter Jackson. It appears Jackson is forming a new Toy Soldier company with Steven Spielberg and George Lucas. As you all know those guys have no imagination whatsoever so have decided to offer Vader better terms than me and steal my ideas. As I write Gandalph is setting up his production line. It seems Jackson does read this forum and took the hint and is starting his own company.

The backstabbing by Vader has hit me hard and is not what I expected after reading his resume. I think his resume may have been fabricated as he was certainly not "trustworthy". I am thinking of sueing Freddy Kreuger
of Trust Me Executive Hire so if anybody knows a good fearless lawyer please let me know. My lawyer affordability factor is low.

The bad day has not been helped by the hostage taking of my family. I am writing this in a neighbours house as the SWAT team negotiates with some apparent former Royal Marines who flew in last night and took the wife
and kids hostage. Seems they are not after money. The head negotiator says their leader appears to have a Scottish accent and wants to trade my family for the Wizard. Since I have not found a Wizard yet I was wondering if anybody knows the contact details for any of the following :

Lt Harry Callahan
John McLane
or Martin Riggs

Thanks for your support but as you might guess I am having second thoughts about setting up as a manufacturer. Even if I find a Wizard it seems like a hard job. I think I will stick with my day job.

Regards
Brett

I dont know any Wizards, but I do know a Warlock who is out of a Job his name is Charlie Sheen
maybe he can help you out. {sm4}

LOL. No wizards here. For Callahan, McLane, or Riggs, take a look in LaLa land, USA. That place is full of FX wizards, as well.:wink2: -- Al

I recommend using wands. You'll find it's easy to make yourself invisible, defy time and space, and turn irritible online critics and customers into frogs.

Prost!
Brad

In responce to your complaints manager Mr Vader, we are moving our manufacturing to the planet Hoth where the tempuratures are the same as our usual summer weather. Anyone that would like to join me in forming a Rebel Painting Alliance please P.M. me
