Andy put that very question this way ....Hands up those of you who prefered Band of Brothers to the Pacific, almost all of us put our hands up......I agree Jack, Andy has often said that he feels he has the best job in the world and as a result his enthusiasm is obvious to see to anyone talking about the subject. His patience must be also be inexhaustible as he must answer thousands of questions and requests every year. Re the Japanese figures , I could never understand why our American friends didn't lap this range up in bucket loads, I'd have thought the Marines and their foes would be a huge seller over there due to their justifiable pride in the Marines, perhaps the baptism of fire they went through and the horrors of fighting the Japenese was still to raw a subject.

Shows why I should never open a business. I would have bet the house on the Marine figures being huge sellers. I wonder if the issue is that the Japanese figures do not appeal, so therfore you do not buy their adversaries.

Wayne.
Rob, there were if I recall six or seven LH and some other what Andy called Middle east figures , I can't remember again six or seven of them as well. As to when they will be released I don't know
and that doesn't mean that there were any secert handshakes or such he just didn't say. Forgive me but I don't really want to steal Howard thunder and they will speak for themselves when you seen them. He should have had a nap by now...:wink2:
Wayne.
If I remember correctly 2 mounted Lighthorse (both I predict will be very popular), 5 on foot, 3 mounted Camel Corps and 6 British Infantry.
It just won't be the same 'ye old toy shop' if you could actually swing a cat in there.......:wink2:
Wayne.
For those not familiar with my shop it is called 'atmosphere" and sometimes I discover some good items in the boxes concerned. Plus the locals seem to enjoy kicking Obee and Howard's shipments as they await their trip to the post office^&grin.
As forum members may have noted there was a table of trouble makers and hecklers. One can only imagine how some of them would have behaved if their partners were not there{sm4}.
Seriously though, thanks to the forum members and forum readers that came. Thanks to Jack for helping make sure the powerpoint presentation worked (photos will come soon for the forum).
A good time was had by all.
Regards
Brett
PS Just a teaser but I recall a special photo taken for Wayne WA (and no it does not involve a Stuka {sm4}).
You guys got a lot of info from Andy. It must have been the big cobbers in the back of the photo that intimidated him. ^&grin
Terry
Does it involve a Corona ???
Terry mate there average size for a Aussie..................^&grin
Wayne,
In the case of Phil and myself I have to confess we are actually on chairs. Note you can actually see Jack's foot. Chris McKenna is a big unit and never going to be a scrum half.
However if you come over you might lower the age average{sm4}.
Regards
Brett

Rob
Gentlemen,
I have just flown home from two great fanciful days in Brisbane. More to follow on the K&C Dinner report later. But as posted in another thread, here are the answers to your questions asked.
Rob. Paras, Brits or American, Normandy ---- American Paras 2013, No Brits in the pipeline. {bravo}} Good news bad news really, looking forward to U.S. Paras......disappointed the boys at Arnhem will have to hold out at the bridge even longer! {eek3}
Wayne. Grey 88, Tiger, Kett, Opel ---- Two new Tigers coming but won't spoil the surprise, Opel a possiblity in 2013. No plans on the other two at this stage. Always look forward to a Tiger whatever the breed!
Panzer Ace. Stuka.---- The first colour mock up very impressive. Ultimate cost and difficulties in shipping such a big bird causing problems. Will this bird ever get off the ground? If they can ship huge wooden warbirds I can't understand why a smaller Stuka would be so difficult.
UKsubs. Me262 Night fighter or FW152 ---- No intentions, but four other great aircraft in the pipeline at the moment, late 2012 and 2013 {bravo}} Exciting, very much looking forward to future releases here.
Simmo. Fighting Japs ---- IWJ series discontinued, no requirement for Japanese soldiers. Can't say I'm surprised but some updated Japanese would have been nice for my collection.....and some U.S.M.C.
Mitch. Nebelwefers ---- Probably 2013 Good news, definitely a must have, I will patiently await its arrival. ^&cool
Vididgraphx. African American Troops, Tuskegee Airmen, ACW 54th Regt. ---- 54th Regt, No, WW2 African Americans, Yes Watch this space. Outstanding, the thought of a Tuskegee P-51 Red Tail and ground crew would be a must have for me. {bravo}} {bravo}}
Bombon. Russian AFVs, Trucks ---- Yes, a Russian release late 2012 and more planned for 2013. Excellent, nice to see this series expanding after being dormant for so long. Lots of interesting possiblilities here.
Villagehorse. WW1 Trucks/Cars ---- Seriously looking at several options but for 2013. Should be very interesting.
Marco55. FIW ---- John Jenkins doing a fabulous job, so no requirement. Very telling, John makes excellent warbirds for sure. I hope this answered everyone questions. Cheers Howard
I see you had an ex-pat interloper from New Zealand. Did he raise his shirt and show you the Sherman tank tattoed on his back? It's quite the sight!
