I'm happy to say Mitch that you were probably right and I was in error. Wasn't the first and probably won't be the last ^&grin

Note : Have to spend $250 to get it and limit one per person.

I am a member of the Club so I hope I also qualify{sm4}

Brett..

Noted but, its probably less than what some may have to have paid on auction sites and, if you spend at HK anyway then its a great bonus. Its a start and customers appreciate this type of thing.

Nice figure and nice offer from K&C^&cool

Chicago Hospitaller Knight Annual Party Figure...

I'm not going to the Chicago Show...

I do collect all the K&C Knights/Saracens and would like this figure...

if anybody brings one of these figures home...I would like to buy it if you don't collect this series...

Gentle Friends,

I have a question. Will the Hospitaller Knight figure obtained at the show be identical in every way to those figures obtained through the Collector's Club? Or will there be any identifying marks to distinguish the show figure from the Collector's Club figure?
If there is no way to identify one from the other, then it would seem to me to make the show figure less special.

Just as a thought, perhaps entirely too late for this year, if the underside of the base of the show figure indicated something like, "Chicago Show, 2012," and the underside of the base of the Collector's Club figure read, "Collector's Club, 2012," then the special nature of each figure is retained while clearly identifying one from the other.

While I believe allowing more collectors to obtain the special figures is a worthwhile endeavor that many collectors will appreciate, I would like to see the show figures retain their "special" limited edition status.

At any rate, it is just a thought and I am always happy to obtain any nice item for my collection regardless if it is obtained at the show or through the Collector's Club.

Warmest personal regards,

Pat :)

Pat, I could see this coming, I don't collect show figures but I can understand those collectors being upset if such figures were available on a wider basis, hopefully their bases will be marked differently.

Pat...

from the information supplied it seems that the figure may just have chicago show on it as its not really promoted as a collector club figure. This seems to be a extension for the show figures for people unable to come to the show to be able to get one by ordering items from K&C.

K&C would be better to answer this but, its the impression I got from the announcement and, its a great move.

Hi Mitch,

If your interpretation of the information is correct, then it seems to me we have the best of both worlds. I hope you are correct because it would maximize the pleasure of a larger group of collectors.

Warmest personal regards,

Pat :)

Thats what I hoped for when I started the thread but, did not expect anything to come of it. Its a one of those rare win win situations. I hope many people take advantage of the offer. You and your good lady enjoy the show

I would also like to be able to purchase this Hospitaller Knight figure. So it will also be available through the K&C Collector's Club? Would someone please fill me in on what the Collectors Club is? Is it only available to join on the K&C UK site? If I join, how will I know what Collector's Club pieces are available for purchase? Will pictures of the figures come to me in an email from K&C? Any information from club members will be appreciated.

Thanks,

George

George...

I don't think it's being offered as a CC figure...at least not yet...I inderstand it is available free with a $250 purchase direct from K&C Hong Kong while supplies last (only from the 15th to the 18th)...and of course at the Chicago Show Dinner...

try this link...it might help you some with contact info to clarify...

George,

You join through the main site, which shows what figures are available for purchase (so they won't send you an email except when new ones come out).

It is one of those rare WIN, WIN situations. Too bad it wasn't a WIN, WIN, WIN situation.

Okay, maybe I missed something here. Please correct me if I'm wrong but is there a paradigm shift beginning here?

It's definitely a WIN, WIN for collector and KC. Like you guys, I'm a collector so I'll benefit here but what about the possible consequences to the dealer/ collector relationship?

Have margins pressures, production costs, sustain bad economy force this eventuality? "Cut out the middleman or middle-person"!

"Tell me it ain't so Joe", I hope I'm wrong or am I?

Hi,

Can anyone tell me more info?

Must I be a Collector's Club member?

If yes, must i join the membership first and then make the order 250usd or more to King and Country US website within those dates, and then the figure comes automatically?

Sorry I know it sounds simple but because I am out here in Singapore and trying to figure how to get this figure.

Thks,Chris

Carlos...

Not sure I get what you mean. This figure and its availability to me, from reading what came in the e-mail has nothing to do with affecting dealers at all. How can it as these figures are not released to dealers to sell? This figure is an early release of the one that would normally only be available to those who attend the chicago show. So, for a limited period from today until the 28th K&C have offered it to its CC members, if you purchase X amount of product.

I think, its not really going to affect dealers to much in the big picture if their collectors buy a one off order from K&CHK direct if, thats what you mean to get the figure if they want it.

Its still a great idea and, I am pleased they have done it. It will allow a greater number to get it if they want and, possibly increase the numbers in the CC club which, again, does not hurt worldwide dealers as many join anyway for the figures they offer with membership and, the magazines.

I Don't think there is any shift here that need concern anyone. it may be a gesture from K&C that acknowledges that many are fleeced for these figures during and after the show and, that K&C should have some of the pie so, to speak, (no bad thing) but, also stops a bit the speculators who spoil it for all.

Carlos, don't worry there are plenty of members that do get what you mean. In order to receive this complimentary figure buyers will have to purchase a minimum of $250 in product direct from King & Country, that is a $250 minimum per buyer the dealers will not see.
