What would you think of a hand made wood plane with clear canopy and very good detail along with 3 K&C figures for less than $200? That is Andy's intention with the regular production warbirds, which will be demand-production pieces (i.e. Andy might make 200 to 500 initially, if these sell out and he gets another 200 orders, he will make 200 more, etc). Even if you think the limited production warbirds are too expensive, I think you will agree that the regular production planes with crew are reasonable.

My old K&C wood Corsair arrived! Man is it beautiful. I am going to run upstairs to the museum and shoot some digital photos of it for Brad to post.

That would do it for me...are these planes 1/32 that they might match up with some of the off brand stuff out there or if they are 1/30, would the size difference really matter, as long as they were not the same plane and different scales? Michael

I'm no expert, but they look 1:32 to me.

The very limited planes come in regular K&C large cardboard boxes (like the box that the old 88mm gun on a base came in) marked AIR004 or Air007 or whatever the number of the specific plane is (AIR001 through whatever).

The boxes look like nothing special, just regular packing boxes, with special foam padding cut out for the dimension of the plane. They pack these at the factory, then ship them to K & C, which places the sealed box in a larger box and out it goes.

This is a really early production (circa 1991) warbird, with a gloss finish. I took photos of it with the same early glossy K&C figures that it appeared with in the 1995 flyer.

That would be super. Louis, my Corsair is a later version painted flat, with Navy markings.

The later matt versions were more detailed, but there is certain charm to the early glossy warbirds that I really like.

Anyways I have 2 each of each type of Focke Wulf 190's and 2 each of both types of Hawker Typhoons. One of the planes is numbered #1.
