Looks really good, Chris. Who doesn't love the old Slow But Deadly?:wink2: Wouldn't mind seeing the SBD show up in John's production schedule in these same colors. ^&grin -- Al

Hey Chris, that's awesome!:salute:: I've got two of the three HM SBD, and *almost* won the third on Ebay before Xmas. Will keep looking!:wink2:

Thanks Moe, Al. Those SBDs were the work horse of the fleet, taking the offensive to the IJN during the first year of the war. Chris

Very nice Chris . . . I see that your deck crew figures are busy also . . .

Hi Chris,

I actually misstated something in my post. HM makes three "Coral Sea" versions that would look good together. The SBD would make for an awesome addition, but JJ has never made a two-seater.:( And you are correct that it was a workhorse. In fact, it sunk ALL the carriers that Japan lost in 1942, (and seriously damaged several others, Shokaku twice).

John has never made a 2-seater, but it certainly would be possible in terms of the SBD. John has a F4U Corsair on the way, which measured 33' 8" in length and had a wingspan of 41'. Now, the SBD is virtually the same size overall at 33' in length and a 42' wingspan. Certainly doable in terms of size, and without the folding wing feature, probably a bit simpler, althoght the shipping box would be rather large. Even a TBD Devastator is within reach with 35' foot length, although the wingspan is a bit bigger at 50', the folding wing on these would make shipping less complicated. I hope John has the interest to go to the multiple seaters to give us a US Naval striking force worthy of the name. How impressive it would be to assemble a deck full of F4F's, SBD's and TBD's. Heck, maybe we can even talk John into a F2A Buffalo or two.:wink2: Good thing I'm not greedy.:rolleyes2: -- Al

The decking certainly adds a lot to the scene. Never would have guessed John would have produced these, they are excellent. Robin.

Great pictures Chris :salute::

All the best

Many thanks guys. The deck sections make unlimited dio scenes possible. Would like to see a Wildcat version after the Corsair. Now, if only we had a superstructure facade. ^&grin Chris
