Do you have Larks tongues ? (1 Viewer)

Nicely done, Steve. I like the backdrop in your second photo.

Cheers Mark, backdrop is picture off the internet, I just typed Ancient Roman Street Scene into google, which threw up a lot of ideas.
Very creative, Steve. I like it!

Very nicely done Steve. There's nothing quite like a little tongue 😛

:ROFLMAO: Those Romans certainly had weird tastes Mike compared to what modern Western cuisine is the norm, and as varied as that can be whether it be say as common hearty bowl of Goulash in Hungary or Cheeseburger in McDonald's just about anywhere.
But just the thought of some of the things the Romans seemed to enjoy, at least the richest of society, makes me feel queasy, of course the poor and those of more modest means would have been a more mundane list of foods, porridge maybe or bread and cheese, for everyday eating, rather than say the stuffed doormice that might be served on a special occasion, then some modern Eastern delicacies aren't too appealing to me either.
Tried fried Grasshopper and earthworms in Thailand once, drew the line at fried Scorpion !
Though I much prefer Roast Beef and Yorkshire pudding !

I agree for the most part. But Yorkshire pud is rare and usually awful here. Grasshopper may be easier to digest;).
Best Wishes & Love the Roman History you portray,

Yorkshire pudding, easy enough to make and delicious and who could possibly not love it as part of Toad in hole with Bubble and Squeak and gravy.
No actual Toads involved ! 😉
Grasshopper soon got rubbery I found 🤢

Your market scenes continue to grow Steve as you take advantage of the new releases. Once again you have created a unique part of a busy Roman market. Robin.

Yes, Andy's Roman Civilians line has some great figures Robin and I look forward to seeing what the next figures in the line will be hopefully in yhe near future.

Love the lingo - Half-British Mom actually knows what you're talking about. She loved Grandma's Bangers & Mash. Shepherds pie is good - steak & kidney???
Happy British haute cuisine...
