  • Damian,
Thanks for the kind words. I was always drawn to Trophy's artillery sets. I thought finding this set and the elephant artillery set would be nearly impossible. Well, one down and one to go, though I would also like to find later versions of the horse-drawn artillery as well, and I forgot about the Boer War guns and not to mention the boats..... How many holy grails do you have left?:)
Thanks Damian, Your collection is excellent. I am jealous of your beautiful Trophy boat. I enjoyed all your photos, particularly the painted ladies! Take care JW
Damien: Skoda mortar was made by Toy Soldier Shop of the North in Milwalkee(sp) and only 200 were made according to Mike. I had an email from Len and he said he never made any trains but thought Jim Hillisted had one made and put some Trophy figures in it. Tommy
Damian: Have you seen the Normandy Sword Beach 8 diorama pieces for Britian's Collector's Club? They only made abour 200 and Trophy sculpted the figures and they went to China for painting. Mike and I each have one. His is for sale. Tommy
Damian: Len didn't do a skoda set; only the one US company and produced 200 sets. They fit well with Trophy. Mike and I used to joke that you were not a real collector unless you had one. Tommy
Surely I will enjoy the London show in December! Will you be there ? Were you ever on bigger shows ? Liverpool is not as bad as ManU...but for Celtic I have more sympathy !
Of course I like VFB Stuttgart, but my favorite team since 30 years is West Ham. Becuase of the colours, because I like the London eastend and because it is not the big money team (as ManU,Chelski or Bayern f.ex.). What about you ? btw I will go to the London toy soldier show and on the same day in the afternoon to the matchs West Ham vs. ManU - that is a Saturday of my dreams ! (Well, could change to a nightmare, if Manu will win..)
Hi Damian, thanks a lot for your kind comments regarding my show albums. Well, the crazy man in the West Ham shirt...that s me. (I know, 19th place of 20 teams actaully is not the very best...) best regards Marcus
    Damian,
Are you folks partaking in your national sport again down there?
    Rioting is so much fun!
    Hope all is Peachy,
    Mike

    Hi,
Thanks, it is always a pleasure to post and it does force me to somehow perfect my photo skills... I do like LL, but the best glossy Naps to me come from IMPERIAL, and I am trying to build an Imperial nap collection with some help from our friend Rob/Vandilay!

    Regards,
    Paulo
