Hi Mike love your collection love your fall of Acre. I'm just getting into the crusader period, bought the St Petersburg book about the Crusades it sure inspires to collect more Crusaders and Saracens its really a very colorful period to get into.

    Hi Mike!
    Thanks for your kind words!
Regarding your own project! My advice is to glue the most of it. Let arms, legs, weapons etc. be - and the prime it! When you glue it 2gether be aware of, that there is no paint of the glue spot! Be carefull with the paint - use a magnifier - and as i told you before - stop when you are satisfied! That is what count most! And if your wife (if you are married) says: " Love, that is a nice job" - be sure its OK! Just keep moving!

    Best wishes

    Hi Mike!

The cross job is very simple! I´ve found the cross on the net. Printed them out on labels and ths stuck it on the figure. Paint and let it stay on for an hour - and then enjoy!

Just try and stop when you a satisfied!

    Best wishes

    Hi Mike!

Thanks for you drop note! I´m very pleased with you kind words.
I agree about the St. Peters! Great figures but expensive.
I have started to build and paint my own - it´s quite interesting, but hard work too!

    Best regards

Hi Mike and thank you so much for the kind comments. I do the crusader range but have yet to take any pictures. The whole idea in making these set (vignette) pieces is to acheive a "modular" function in which they can either be displayed by themselves, fit into my glass cabinets, or simply put together to create a larger scale scene. I'm currently working on a bigger board and puttin materials together for a Hougoumont diorama, with K&C napoleonics and Britains North gate buildings.

I'm delighted that you enjoyed them. However, i must say that i thoroughly enjoy your work too. Its brilliant Mike. Truly :)

I've been following this forum for a while now but never got around to joining. Perhaps i'll make a formal introduction at some point, say hello and post my pictures in a thread (gee, which one?), but am still feeling somewhat "gun shy" ha!!!

Keep in touch Mike. Great to hear from like minded and passionate collectors like yourself. Thanks again.

    Best Regards, Clinton
